Wow, 9 reviews total, 5 of them failed within the first few weeks and no refunds or replacements given.
I'm not judging a product on 9 reviews, most are within warranty period.
Lol 1 person rated 1 star because they hate the VIDAA software.
For comparison, TGG is 4.8 stars also from 9 reviews - and is actually also cheaper ($978 with pricebeat button)
Of those reviews, only 2 are for this actual 75" model, a 1 and 5 star.
3 of the 1 stars appear to be from Rod for the 55", and the other reviews are for a 43" and 85".Considering I'm sure they've sold a lot more than 2 of these even at $1295 and people are more likely to leave a review only when its bad, I'd say its probably a perfectly fine mediocre TV.
BTW, is there any store stock anywhere or is it just WA that only has the option to pay delivery (well, TGG does have option to pickup from Perth Delivery Centre (or Bunbury 150KM away))
Sharing thoughts,
I bought the Sony refurbished tv died in 24hrs.
Coworkers:
* TCL, multiple dead pixels. Has issue with warranty. Still on going battle
* Hisense bought it 2 years ago, returned it 3 times for a swap as each died within 30 days.
* Chiq Tv, remote stopped workingAfter my drama, I am now thinking why my plasma has not broken down. More pixels more problem explains why alot of these tv manufacturers are only offering that 1 - 3 year warranty
Probably because while everything else keeps going up, TV's keep getting bigger and cheaper. They are pretty much disposable items at this point.
Most of us here will be wanting to upgrade anyway after 5 years.
My old LG from 2008 still going strong (only died on day 1 due to massive thunderstorm :p )
so does my 46” Sony from 2009 .Cant convince the missus to update as atv making it smart too 😃
My last update was to one of these cheap 75" 4Ks that I picked up from the neighbours lawn during junk collection.
Easy fixed power supply issue and still going great a year later, so guess there can be a benefit to them being so disposable :D
@bamzero: Just out of interest. What went in the SMPS? Diode/ cap?
Any reason noted (dust, low temp range components)?Never had a TV die..ever (45 laps of the sun so far). Just getting myself prepared when we update to a modern stinker TV.. which is likely going to be a throw out.
Cheers
How are you treating your tvs?
My cheap ones are going for many yearsSame as everyone turn on watch the 6pm Murdoch news.
Two plasma are going strong, one is struggling to decode the 'newer DTV' channels.
Wanted to upgrade to a newer tv to get the netflix going over chrome cast / hardwire in USB C to HDMI…
But after the Sony Oz-bargain 700 dollar deal failure..
Wont be buying a new tv anytime soon
Try FFalcon ones, seems to be good for me 3 years on
Geez that's cheap….tempting…
We ordered one 65" Q6qau with delivery. Still not delivered one week later. Stock was in store as well.
So far 2x of them are still going.
Check reviews before buying, more than 50% are 1 star rating.
