I have done both. I am normally an 11.5.
Previously I have ordered 11’s and I wore them with thick socks for about a week (quite painful too) but eventually they were perfect size.
I have also bought 12’s which fit straight out of the box but eventually became a bit loose and floppy. Either way by about the same time both were filthy and I threw out for new pairs.
For what it’s worth, I can’t be bothered with the ass pain of getting them to fit, so I just order 12’s now.
Go .5 size up for sure.
Are they squeaky?
I have a similar pair, after wearing it about 20 times it's unbearably squeaky. I was going to throw them out but found that moisture was the cause, fixed one shoe but the other still squeaks like crazy. Fancy brand but I won't be buying anymore.
I found that applying skin moisturizer to the running parts completely stopped the squeaking on mine

Lacoste closed all their full price stores, you know the fancy premium ones that shows off how good they are?
Now they are just stocked at places such as Myer and David Jones, and their own DFO factory outlet stores.
They are pretty much just devaluing their brands, I would be a bit wary about their quality as well as their supposed RRP. I mean, they don't even have their own stores selling stuff at RRP. How recommended can they be lol.
I went into their store on Brompton Road last october. Seemed to be as you'd expect. I think they exited Australian individual stores but worldwide different story.
For $75 I think the value is there. They are a leather fashion shoe but I’ve had plenty of pairs and never had a quality issue. The only reason I get rid of them is they go from white to filth fairly quickly.

I find these shoes to be absolute rubbish. Much rather a comfy shoe like Adidas, Nike or New Balance. Tried these a few times and every time i think maybe it was just a once off, I'm reminded at how poor a shoe they are.
