watched this when it was released. loved it.

    I only recently learned that only a handful of copies of the original 1922 film survived after Bram Stoker's widow sued the filmmaker's over copyright and won a court ruling that saw most copies destroyed.

    I've never seen the 1922 version but you can tell the director pays homage to it throughout the movie. It's well made and the acting is on point. Not my cup of tea but 7.2/10 on IMDB.

          haven't you seen those screenshot of people online argueing their life away about some kind of monster romance fan fiction and how their take on it is the only real take and the only take that exists.

          those people are likely to love this movie (because they are fantasizing about having steamy romance with a monster character), and twice as likely to write a seething positive review. 😹

    Excellent cast. Sub-par film.

    Movies landing on streaming services shouldn't be a "deal" IMO, but the mods seem to think otherwise.

      I wouldn't call it sub-par.

      Very much a love letter to the original film. Personally I would have liked Eggers to do a bit more of his own thing with it, but you can tell he was a huge fan of the original

    Watched this on a plane and it turned out to be an underwhelming, forgettable plane movie.

    Luc Besson's upcoming Dracula movie looks more interesting.

          Nosferatu is an excellent film. Especially on 4K BR with Dolby Atmos.

          Would look and sound terrible if you stream it.

      I just find it weird they continue to twist about a published post that doesn't affect them in anyway, but they still click on it and leave a comment, which ends up driving more traffic to the post. idk not really trying to achieve anything in particular but lots of users don't seem to know how internet works.
      don't they know when scrolling a higher comment number means others more likely to click through??

        that's exactly what I do.

        and in my personal opinion, Primevideo included with Prime is great value. because I get Prime + 1/2 subs I allow myself to be on at a time.

        I save money by only subbing Prime a few months of the year (adds up to less than $79.99 per year). but not sure I save on rotating other monthly stream subs. I think if I chose one I would save, but then my content would be limited to just one sub.

        I stay permanently on RD and stremio. No more games, costs next to nothing, have access to almost everything.
