Not as cheap as they were very briefly in mid June on Amazon, but this should be a relatively reasonable price that's not an error.

This set was released in January this year and is already being marked as clearance by some retailers (including Target).

As long as the sets are based off of real rockets and the like, I have no problem with their integration into the 'City' theme. However, as soon as they start adding aliens and crystals etc (as they are doing now), then I agree with you.
Maybe they have left over bricks from the short lived alien conquest series from about 15 years ago..
That said I do believe there is a space theme in Lego city.

No stock showing in any stores either, so I assume I'd need to pay postage too.
I like this range, but I didn't feel the sets I bought last year were particularly good value (even at the less than RRP prices I paid).
Space sets shouldn't really be part of the "City" theme, imo. City is based on realism not fantasy.
