They sound similar to my Sennheiser HE-1 without the bulky amp.
This i gotta hear lol
Same factory
The Aldi website lists all of the important details for them. Under specifications it has :
Availalavble in Black or Grey
(Yes, including the extra "v"). Presumably if you need more specs than that, these are not the headphones for you…
Yes, the most important feature is that they are 'Availalavble'…
I take it , that's "Good Different"?
Got their what?
Aldi Bauhn used to be great value back in the day..
I don't think they're terrible now tbh. I think we just have so many alternative/budget brands now in the market.
Phwoar. Not a deal!
Care to explain?
I have to kind of agree.
random brand headphones with no ANC for $39.99 feels a bit steep. and yeah I remember when Aldi just brought out their "Special buys" bauhn products and they were considered decent quality. I heard that stopped like 3+ years ago they just stick bauhn on any crap now because people will buy based on previous experience. I would expect these headphones to be on the same level as random sounding amazon brands. I'm not talking about Soundcore or 1More i'm talking about like XGPDG Wireless Headphones etc.
the Otto ANC $17 ones from Officeworks are a good deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904006
only downside compared to the deal headphones is less battery life. 10 vs 15 hours. but $17 is less than half the price.should also say I quoted 10 hours battery for Otto because that's what it says on OW page.
but some comments in that old deal say the user manual says 36 hours battery life. I thought most likely with ANC off??
so I just assume 10 hours with ANC on but I could be wrong.
But they are not Availalavble in Grey
also too expensive.. imo.
oh just realised now you posted the Otto ones. 😀 I remember the post because lots of users whining and shxtting on it hard, when it was only $17. 🤣
It's $17 again.
The Kmart one is expensive but it's better than the Aldi one with no ANC.
yeah that's fair same price as Aldi but Kmart actually has ANC.
tbh the Otto has been $17 the last 3 times I checked btw. I know because I was being tempted by them a few times until a month or two ago. still a great price though. they look good as well, way better than the cheapy designs of kmart and aldi ones.
People would buy these for home as the amount of Bose, Beats and Senneis i see on PT, you wouldnt think there are other brands out there.
Anyone know if the earcups use the faux leather material that starts flaking a few years later?
I can't reply regarding this specific model of cans.
We do however own an ALDI ANC set from 2020. Worked pretty darn well. Still does in fact. Shame of it is, yes, it does use the pleather that flakes off after a few years. And unlike my other mainstream cans, I couldn't get them off cleanly and also couldn't buy replacements for them (potentially, I was just unable to find a listing because they're not a widespread mainstream brand - could've had generics with the similar measurements 🤷)
Note, I'm not saying their pleather is worse than others. ALL of my pleather goods have done that. Doesn't matter if it was high-end or bargain basement.

in my experience with cheaper headphones, all the ones with creases like the Aldi and Otto earpads have flaked apart within a year. including replacements.
What is the audio quality like and what version of bluetooth does it use?
