I dont think these are headphones despite the description? Look like passive earmuffs

  • Might be worth rethinking the title, I can't see anywhere on the listing that mentions these are headphones.

  • IMO The small foam earplugs make more sense. Most kids love squishing them down, so they wear them willingly.
    Ymmv of course.

Noise cancelling and noise reducing/isolating are 2 different things. Misleading title.

I really don't recommend cheap noise cancelling headphones for kids. Research has shown it's damaging to the brain.

    • These aren’t noise canceling headphones

These still aren’t noise cancelling headphones

@mapax: Then why did they say "active noise cancellation"

            • +1

@marshmall0w2: Because that’s marketing buzzwords that appeal to the less informed.

@mapax: So a neg for this post is correct then. Misleading information.

                • @marshmall0w2: Maybe. However, if marketing brain rot means that the less informed now sometimes refer to passive ear muffs as noise cancelling headphones is it still misleading?

  • If you can wait for shipping, it's much cheaper on Temu. Goes for pretty much most made in China cheap stuff unless there's an Anko branded version in which case Kmart is usually the cheapest due to their volume discount.

Bunnings has comparable kids earmuffs for $19

  • These are not “noise cancelling”, they are noise isolating ear muffs. This is pure misleading marketing. There is nothing “active” about these, and there is no “cancelling”. Lastly, these are not “headphones” they are “ear muffs”, there are no speakers open them and they can’t be plugged in to listen to music/white noise.

These are just standard ear muffs, just in a kids size.

    Cheaper alternatives available at Bunnings

    • To be fair, these Dr.meter Earmuffs from Amazon OP has shared do look a lot better and more durable than those Craftright Children Earmuffs. And, they’re cheaper even before cashback.

I agree that calling them “noise-cancelling” headphones is totally misleading though.

I own a pair of the craftright and they can survive crushing in bags and being slammed in the boot. They have lasted about 6 years so far without the faux leather deteriorating which is more than can be said about a few of my over ear headphones. Been to plenty of fireworks, footy games and monster jam sessions.

        • Fair enough, and good to know.

These are just generic aliexpress ear muffs but at a higher price. I bought my kids a pair each a couple of years back and they like them.
