    Surely you would be better off with this deal:

    Switch & Stay 45 Days for Bonus Prepaid Mastercard: Electricity $150, Gas $125

        The Switch & Stay Econnex Deal shows the $200/$100 credit from PowerShop, stacked with $150 + $125 gift card - it is definitely better than this deal which is only $100 + $75.

        Also I realised it was econnex not compare energy.

          That Deal T&C is 90-120d wait!
          Taken around 120 days every time for me.

          Yourself - Read the T&C!

          Just have to wait like everyone who signed up & agreed to the T&C!!

          You won’t get them until minimum 90 days, most likely around day 117-120 so no need to contact anyone yet

          Its too soon to have received your gift cards.

          You need to stay connected 45 days from connection (not sign up),
          Then the Gift card is then sent 120 days from connection (not sign up).

      I've switched electricity 4 times this year. Each for a higher MasterCard incentive (twice $200) through Econnex Deals.

      "limited to one transaction per member account every six months" really limits the benefit of these Compare Energy Deals.

      Are they referring to CR member or prior user of Econnex?

      Individual retailer sign-ups (indirectly through Econnex) yield greater cashback (example here) with a shorter 75 days wait. Aren't these ones better?

        Your linked offer is another Compare Energy Deal!
        With up to 90d wait for cashback.

        Always read T&C - "What you need to know"

        Same limitations as this Deal:
        "Cashback is limited to one transaction per member account every six months through Econnex"
        "Cashback is eligible only for new customers of Alinta Energy."
        "You must remain with Alinta Energy for a minimum term period of 75 days to be eligible for cashback."

        Being made to stay longer & only able to switch twice a year - means fewer times you can switch for financial incentives. For regular switchers like me, that's definitely not a better Deal.

        Econnex have been trying out other ways to offer Deals, which may not suit everyone. Like movie tickets instead of MasterCards.
        And these changes in cashback Deals.

        Will stick with simpler direct Econnex Deals
        * shorter retention condition (45d vs 75d).
        * able to switch again for another financial inducement after 45d, not wait 6 months!!
        Thats a lot more money (MC) a year💰😉

        Econnex rang me yesterday regarding my issue with OVO overestimating my electricity bill by 3 times. Its not suitable for me.
        (Will Refund overpayments after switching.)
        Their suggestion was to switch again in next Econnex Deal after 45 days with OVO.
        Which they observed is my long term strategy with Econnex😉
        Can't do that in these Deals!!

        Effectively haven't paid for electricity for years💰 (All electric aircon home, no solar.)

          Am i right to say you can reapply a new Direct Econnex deal after 45days with the same provider and get still be eligible? I moved to powershop via Econnex direct back in April and just received the MC gift cards and looking to churn again.

            Just to be clear… SWITCHING retailer in all Econnex Deals is by definition NOT back with the same provider!!

            Just have to choose ANOTHER retailer (or possibly different Plan with same retainer) from list provided in new Deal for your location. At least 45 days after last switch occurred.

            Don't have to wait months for MC before churning.
            Have switched twice since received last MasterCard.

            Always received each incentive to switch for years with Econnex💰

          I've repeatedly recommended that in Econnex Deals to verify $ payout.
          Once the Deal expires, the T&C are not accessable! People worry that there is no way to verify amount after signing up! May be better through CR.

          Even with a screenshot, doubt $250 would be honoured by Econnex. As was up to $175 before & now.

          Sure you didn't mistakenly add the 2 dollar amounts together?
          $175 (gas & electricity)
          $75 (gas)
          = $250??

          Despite showing above that it's only up to $175

              Always check the fine print!!

              That $150 from Powershop is just signup Bill Credit!! Not cashback!

              Only usable to pay Powershop bills! Usage depends on Powershop T&C - spend it or lose it.

              Bill Credit is of far less use than cashback!! For those churning, it can keep you longer with retailer & miss other Deals

              I've got $150 from Powershop for electricity - as signup Bill Credit many times. Now only available on first signup😭

              If so, it was $300 electricity & gas / $200 electricity signup Bill Credit when this Deal posted. Now expired!

              This Deal with Powershop for elec and gas combined was originally for $300 Bill Credit + $175 cashback!

              Or electricity only $200 Bill Credit + $100 cashback!
              Now $150 Bill Credit + $100 cashback.

              Guess that's what you meant by "Its 250 now for elec and gas combined now"!!
              That's a downgrade in benefits to original Deal🤔

                @INFIDEL: So I had replied by checking my cash back rewards alone, thats 250. Powershop benefit will be later if they can give that but since I was with Powershop 3 months ago not sure if ill get that.

                  @Candeal: Think you misunderstand the offers

                  This Deal is just $100 for electricity

                  Powershop credit is now $150 for electricity, which won't be applied as its not your first sign up to Powershop.

                  Direct Econnex Deals have a higher cash payout, requires less retention time (45 vs 75d) & can churn again in 45 days instead of twice a year!!

                    @INFIDEL: I completely understand, like I said already I may not get the powershop benefit… But 150 plus 100 are my chashback rewards showing on the cashrewards website. Hope I was able to communicate what I got. Cheers
