Might be worthwhile to get price matched and the $200 GC on top @ JB.

A small risk, but dont see a reason why it doesnt stack, given the TnC does not mention exclude negotiated "deals".

    • JB wont price match because it's on back order.
The good guys will price beat though. 1777 + delivery

Got mine done right before they closed.

        $1780 delivered + the $200 GC.

Was holding out for discount on the Bravia 7, but this will do, for what it costs.

When it breaks, shouldn't be hard to find spare parts. (fixed 2 TVs to-date with board replacement).

        • I tried to do JB but got stuck in a 30-person queue for half an hour; and by the time it was my turn, the deal had gone onto backorder. You got lucky, and the $200 promo ends tonight as well.

The good guys will price beat though. 1777 + delivery

I misspoke. I was meaning to say 1777, delivery included.

@Blitzfx: Don't bother with the online chat, they refuse when it is an actually good deal. I find JB Hifi to be rather inconsistent in their own policy application. The excuse given is that when a "bonus" GC is offered, they don’t match. Which is not true as I have asked them to match Powerland's $1950 pricing with $200GC when JB listed for $2200 - no issue in that case.

Though, store is pretty good when it comes to price matching from experience.

So called up a store and they created a link for checking out online.

            But $1780 is decent.

Powerland's eBay's listing is $1870 delivered. Suspect it will go nicely with a 15/17% eBay code when it happens.

            • @SetTheFaqUp: I had that same bad experience with TGG last week with online chat. I asked if they could price beat the JB one, inclusive of 15% + $200 giftcard and they said no. (I didn't want the $200 and was hoping they could just deduct it from total price)

Really bizarre answer imo, but a week later they'll happily do $1777 from this store.

@Blitzfx: I normally wouldn't bother when the majors (TGG, HN, JB) merely match or beat by a few $. Would rather support the smaller retailers to keep the majors more honest.

        • What brand tv were the ones you fixed? How old were they? Cheers

How can it be a dupe when there was no actual deal thread made of it until now?. A simple comment in another deal thread made for a completely different store isn't a submitted deal thread. You needed to create an actual deal thread for it to be a listed deal for it to be a dupe as far as i know.

        Haha. JV being JV.

On the other post, I would wonder whether JB contravened competition law when the 15% coupon was offered as a "sale".

        • Yes i guess so. Well JV did not post a deal thread for Appliance Central before this deal thread here was made. So it's not a dupe.

Now if some one else was to now post a deal thread for this TV at the price for Appliance Central then now that would be a dupe.

        • +1

Well, I would not have spotted this deal if not for JV's comment.

          • @SetTheFaqUp: Easy enough to click "Show" - the comment is not invisible, it's just collapsed by default.

I recently picked a 65 up in the same tv and its been excellent so far

    • Retravision deal? Got mine 2 days ago but still need to set it up!

      • It was a great buy at $1040 for the 65 inch from Retravision with free delivery.

        • Yep, got the same!

  • anything for 50/55 inchs?

      • Bit of a jump in price between 50" and 55" for only an extra 5 inches. Is the extra 5 inches worth an extra $165 i wonder.

        • for only an extra 5 inches.

          😲

21% more viewing area, so makes sense.

        • Yea it's a completely different level the dimming is more than double on 55 inch, and you get the better speaker setup, I bought the 55 inch.

        • 50": 336 dimming zones, 2000 nit peak
55": 720 dimming zones, 2600 nit peak, B&O branded sound

I'd go for the 55 for the dimming zones alone

Great tv got the 85. Blown away for the price and not buggy either. I returned a tcl 7 years ago for being a piece of crap buggy mess but they came good

same here with the 85, incredible display

    • how is the performance of the google TV software?

        laggy

      • +1

Its alright, not as fast as more expensive TV's but its good enough. Sometimes it will lag a bit after a cold startup, but from standby its fine.

I just received my 85 C7K yesterday from the Costco deal I posted last week here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/919721 and I am blown away with how good this TV is. This is coming from me being the owner of a 77" Sony OLED as a main TV. Much brighter and local dimming on a high contrast image in a dark room, while not quite at OLED precision, is pretty impressive. Highly recommended!

      • That's great to hear. I was leaning towards a C8K, but so much good feedback on the C7K, I could probably save myself the $$$

        • When looked at side by side, the C8K is noticably brighter than the C7K with HDR demo content, but by itself with normal content it shines pretty brightly to start with. I used mine to replace a Hisense 75P8, which provided me with six years of faithful service, as my gaming/PC monitor and this new TV is a significant improvement in every respect.

      • I've been looking daily to see if any deal comes close to that one for the 85 C7K

This or the Samsung QLED @ $1987 (happy to wear the $ diff)

  • Thanks, bought 65"!

  • Got the 50", goes great and good price.

  • Appliance Central also has the 98C7K TCL down to $4,118. This might be an ATL? Only for selected cities. Powerland also at $4,119 similar deal.
