Heads up that the last time they allowed coupons the rate was reduced (I think it was 2%?), you'll still get the full 10% bonus though.

  • I wonder if this deal will also apply to overseas purchase? I am thinking to buy something from a seller in Japan. Previous recent ebay deals were only for certain eligible items (items that I want were not eligible even during Japan/Korea eligible items deal).

So, if I purchase $250 item from a seller in Japan through Shopback and Apple Pay (with linked St. George bank card in Shopback), I'll get $25 + $25 yes?

  • +1

So is the bonus bank 10% only if you pay via Apple pay?

    • +2

This Shopback x Apple Pay deal is not uncommon, especially previous Pizza Hut deals, etc.

Need to link Westpac, Bom, BSA, StG bank card numbers in Shopback account and pay with Apple Pay for this deal.

I usually use my iPad to open Shopback in Safari browser, then Shopback website and pay through Apple Pay.

      • +3

        Cool thx.

I'm not in the apple ecosystem so can't partake.

  • Recent ebay 10% cb deals from sb had a cap of $20. Not attractive at all.

  • +1

So the standard 10% is uncapped?

  • So is $125 the most I can spend for the $25 discount? ($12.5 + $12.5 off?) or is the cap only for the second Apple Pay cashback?

  • So this offer excludes best offer accepted prices?

  • +2

Anyone got idea, can I combine payment options like using eBay gift cards and Applepay to get cashback? Can't find any info from Shopback website. Thanks in advance.

    • +3

I have, I just checked out using Apple Pay for the last couple of bucks and both cashbacks have tracked

      • +1

Do you get the bank bonus on the total amount (paid with both gift card and stgeorge/westpac) or on only the portion paid with stgeorge /westpac apple pay?

        • +1

Yep full amount. Wouldn’t be worth doing otherwise.

          • +1

@Chickenleg: I’ve always avoided stacking with gift cards because of the below terms, would be interested if others have similarly had no issues doing it.

            You won't get Cashback on:

            Exclusions & promo code usage
            Items in the Travel category
            Charity and non-profit items
            eBay Plus membership
Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions
Store promotions, discounts or special deals unless otherwise stated
            Any store credit redemption
            Payments using: vouchers, eBay credits
Fees · Taxes · Shipping and delivery
Any exceptions will be at the store's discretion.

            • +1

@itsmiffy: I’ve literally been doing it for years with no issues. Nothing in those t&cs mention anything about use of gift cards

      • Thanks a lot.

How do you use Apple Pay on ebay? Is it a payment option at checkout? Do you have to order and pay on an Apple Device rather than the web?

    • -1

      Yes.

      • Thanks. I'd much rather do it on the web but I guess not possible.

      • Is it on a browser or is it through the app?

        • +1

I use Safari browser in my ipad usually. You'd wish Apple would roll Apple Pay to be used in android devices and windows/linux computers …

@gotyourback whats the cap for the normal cashback

    • +1

The normal Cashback is capped at $20 per purchase 👍

      • Hi Rep, may I ask the 10% + 10% bonus togerther cap at $25 in total or normal cashback cap $20 + bonus cashback cap $25. So $45 cap in total? Thanks.

Is using this code PWES15 eligibe for cashback?

        • +2

The normal Cashback is capped at $20 per purchase, and the Bank Bonus is capped at $25. So they’re capped separately, not combined.

And just to confirm — using the code PWES15 would not be eligible for Cashback.

      • +3

@gotyourback Can you please confirm that the 10% offer stacks with the codes (VALUE15, VALUE22) listed in this post? Thanks.

        • +3

Yep, can confirm the 10% offer does stack with the codes VALUE15 and VALUE22 👍

          • @gotyourback: That's great. Thanks GYB.

          • +1

            @gotyourback: Got an email says

Up to 2% if code is used. Up to 10% excludes coupons.

          • @gotyourback: Email just received contradicts. Here is the screenshot.

In SB app, codes are eligible for cashback. Screenshot.

            • +1

@trixieb: Yep, confirmed — codes VALUE15 & VALUE22 are eligible for the 10% Cashback (capped at $20/order) 👍 Sorry for the confusing wording in the email 🙏

      • Booooooo

      • Hi, can you please confirm how many times we can use the normal cashback? I can see apple pay allows 25 times.

        • The normal Cashback isn’t capped by number of uses — you can earn it on multiple purchases, but it’s capped at $20 per purchase 👍

      • What do you mean by normal cashback? I read this deal as a $25 cap as it states it but it seems like a mistake in how it was posted and communicated on here. I am about $10 down due to this error. When you said normal I thought you meant the regular cashback when its not upsized. Very misleading which in this case may not be the fault of shopback.

Good deal but wish it had a bigger cap. Come on topcashback beat this!

  • i cannot pay using applepay with casback enabled. Tried using 2 cards

    • Tried 3 cards now. All added to applepay but it doesnot process the transaction

  • +1

My SB app is not redirecting me to the eBay app. It keeps opening the eBay site within SB and there is no Apple Pay option.

    • @Emenent7426 Had to update eBay app before I could open the app when I was checking eBay (outside of SB). Not sure if this made a difference.

Was able to check out with eBay app within SB app using Apple Pay (Westpac) and part payment with eBay gift card.

      • Thanks for your response. I did update the apps now. Used ANZ Plus, ANZ Credit and Commbank. None worked.

  • Anyone’s order tracked yet? Nothing for me

    • Nothing here as well

      • +1

        eBay tracking is usually overnight

    • Nothing

    • My 2 orders tracked correctly. Didn’t even realize there was a 2% Westpac cashback as well as the 10+10%. Nice little added bonus.

  • Thanks. Ordered a total of $200 now waiting for the tracked confirmation.

  • Also waiting for tracked confirmation.

  • Order placed at 3:19pm AWST, Standard Tracking + Apple Pay Bonus Tracking Email received at 7:25/7:35pm respectively. Wrong amounts but progress :D

Super confused actually by the emails. Both have a mix of (Westpac bonus Cashback) and (Apple Pay bonus Cashback) littered throughout both tracking emails. Am I miscalculating?

Order was 10 rolls of Filament
    $184.03
    - $20 delivery fee
    - 10% GST
    = $145 (rounded down)

    11% Shopback Plus = $15.95
    10% Apple Pay Bonus = $14.50
    = $30.45 expected cashback

    What I got was $9.04 and $11.79

    • +1

      There are 3 rates:

      • Standard SB Plus 11%
      • Westpac 2%
      • Apple Pay 10%

      Cashback includes GST.

My cashback amounts are accurate. Not sure how they calculated yours.

      • Ah well thank kinda makes more sense. Seems the Apple Pay and Westpac sides have tracked but not the standard SB Plus 11%

  • +1

Standard and 2% Westpac tracked in about 3 hrs 50 mins. Apple pay bonus tracked 40 mins later. All tracked correctly.

  • Pulled the sale down early.

    Hopeless.

    Expired as of now.

  • +1

Seems to be some error. One tracked, and it was meant to be more than $25, ( I know theres a $25 cap) but it capped at $20 so maybe they have it set to the regular one. the other one was meant to be about $39 but hasnt tracked, but will probably track also at $20.

    • My Apple Pay bonus was capped at $25

  • +1

    Tracked, showed up as
    - eBay
    - Westpac
    - apple pay

  • Shopback are not honoring the cashback, in terms of the cap. Does anyone have a screenshot from shopback or were clear about the $25 cashback? I just want to be sure I had the deal right. Was it a $25 cap. Or was it a $20 cap but $25 if you used apple pay and ive misunderstood it?
