Switch 2 hasn't really set the world on fire. Most interesting thing to me is how it plays older games better.
The hardware and games are underwhelming.
Also, game key cards are an instant nope.
Yeah I've got the original Switch from when it first came out and I don't really have a compelling reason to upgrade. I do want to play new Mario Kart and DK Bonanza but I can hold out for now. Maybe once there's more games or a limited edition design.
i only jumped on it when they had the afterpay sale, and because I play 99% handheld. As a switch 1 owner, the screen real estate goes crazy, and the better graphics+ refresh but thats the only difference between the two currently. Worth 630? Yes, for me. Worth 690? Nope.

I hear games can actually look worse on the Switch 2 though.
Due to lcd screen and slower response rate VS the oled model.
The screen is bigger which is nice.
@Circly: Some games look “worse” since its stretched to fit the screen, but honestly I prefer the larger screen. I don’t play too many games with text, which is where it’s the most noticeable.
@Circly: Games would look better in that it can run old games at 60fps instead of 30fps.
There are some good reviews on YouTube.
Of course OLED will look better in hand-held mode.
The game key cards impact the original Switch now as well, so cannot be avoided.

Yeah I got the switch 1 OLED for a super deal last year and don't really bother with it.
No rush and no need for a while or to get one straight away. Slave to the upgrades haha
Yeah 100% agree. Plenty of other games to play in the meantime while prices drop. Who knows maybe that $580 bundle or $500 standalone will appear again 😔
@badjazy: Got mine from everyday market when they had uncapped 32% cashback or something, then 28 degrees price protected Amazon price when it was cheaper. Only cost about $270 or something in the end.
