        I reckon nah. All they will do is make it impossible to remove that annoying speaker.

        Other rumoured features like more accurate tracking - the accuracy in the current tracking is currently no issue, maybe a rechargeable battery - that will mean it is 'built in' so you either need to take it and pay to have it replaced when it deteriorates (which you can bet will be necessary after 2 years) or just chuck it in the bin and buy new ones, which is what most will do. Meanwhile those with the 1st generation AirTags will just continue on using theirs and going through the simple 30 second task of putting a fresh battery in once a year.

    lol if it's the pricing for Airtag 1 when 2 comes out fair…for those waiting for functionality, what is it do you expect 2 to do? Like carry your bag back to you?

    It's a tag to find your location. 1 works great.

    Just as a disclaimer if you are waiting for Airtag 2 there isnt much point if you don't have an iPhone 15 or higher to make use of the better ultrawideband chip inside. Get this at a nice price instead

          Thanks. Apparently version 2 makes it harder to take the speaker out, so I've jumped on this deal. Had to re-sign up to eBay Plus, but they gave me a $10 for the year deal. Still a good price in the end.

    The Ugreen smart tags are way more effective - works on the IOS find my technology, Tested by putting ugreen next to airtag, the ugreen is getting more updates than the airtag, ugreen is currently $18 on amazon, i would recommend waiting on the airtags2 next month

      Yeah it's not Ultra Wide Band, so updates can come in chunks of 3-5 minute intervals, even up to 10-minutes in some cases.

      The use case for non-UWB are if you need a delay in "There's an AirTag travelling with you" message, which can take up to 8-hours to alert. With Apple, usually displays within 30-45 minutes.

      AirTags are pinged in real-time.
