I get more work done in the cubicles when I take creatine.

    myfartsandshits smell more with creatine

    anyone else ?

is this a known side effect / affect ??

    • Just curious anybody get side effect from creatine?

      • became bold due to increase in size

        • I thought it was already debunked

      • Yea balding and weight gain 🤓

        • Haha water weight in the muscles?

    • Creatine can give you diarrhea and other kinds of stomach upset, I’m not sure if studies have covered fart potency specifically but it makes sense that it could. Don’t take too much or it also harms your kidneys.

You could split your dose and have half as much two times a day; that still works just as well for your workouts (timing doesn’t matter with creatine) but is probably easier on your arse

      • 5g per day is the standard dose. Kidneys shoud be fine a long as you're drinking enough water.
Like with all things, moderation and consistency are the key.

Is the diarrhea and upset stomach due to it being taken orally? The body produces creatine naturally, so I can only assume that if people are experiencing issues it has something to do with a reaction in the gut.

        • How much is enough water btw?

        • Bodybuilders sometimes start with a week of triple or quadruple doses to “load” up to the effective level, that’s when most folk report gut issues

Edit to clarify: I should say, loading phase is when most diarrhoea issues are experienced. I don’t know if most people on 20g/day will get diarrhoea or if it’s just a big minority.

          • @DanielBaird: Yeah. Unless you want a rapid performance boost, you don't actually need to do a loading phase (especially if you have gut issues with it). You can stick to 5g per day. It just takes a bit longer to reach full saturation.

  • I had a bag of this and it was ok but found it hard to mix into juice or cordial. I find the brand in this deal a lot easier to mix https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/913272

    • Are those 2 brandsbetter than bulk nutrients brand?

Creatine is creatine. Unless you're comparing third party lab tests for purity, just buy the cheapest.

        • Thank, just worried about harmful ingredients

        • +1

          That's incorrect:

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QIyp__H6xI

tl:dr, only by brands that use Creapure (made in Germany), at the very least, it dissolves better.

          • +2

@MdMa7: I don't really care if it's been micronised so it dissolves better. Your body breaks it down regardless.
I care that I'm consuming 100% pure, lab tested creatine.Thats pretty much my only purchasing criteria.

If you have gut issues with unmicronised creatine, then I guess it's worth a try.
But it's simply not worth the extra cost as a first choice for most people.

Muscle up and just eat it off the spoon

      • That's what u resorted too, on cereal or off off a spoon with a chaser

    • I heard about its health benefits from one of Bryan Johnson's podcasts. Might be worthwhile for students too if it boosts cognitive function.

    "clinically dosed for effectiveness".
What on earth does this mean?

    Not all creatines are equal.

  • +5
    • Yeah this is my go to, I purchase from them directly with free shipping. Usually mix with my protein shake, agree not the easiest to mix but most creatines are similar in texture but this does the job.

  • +1

Don't know if all batches are consistent.

I purchased this last time posted here, mixes so easy.

    • i think that depends on freshness of powder - if its old and stale it wont mix well
its why i recon 250g purchases work better - keeps it fresh longer

  • Does this creatine clump? I've had bad experiences with clumping but I'm not sure if it's a storage or product issue.
