Can I come along to watch you get laughed at?

Probably should be denoted as a 5+2 seat car as the third row is only for small children as I'd think even teenagers might have difficulting fitting in (Seen the reviews). It's not a true 7/8 seater like the Carnival.

    • +6

It's the same with any other 7 seater suv. Carnival belongs to a separate class of its own.

      • Hmmm … my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder fits 7 adults very comfortably. Its the main reason I bought it in first place. 3rd row seating in it is quite roomy.

        • Think the Kluger is the same, along with a few others.

I just thought the +2 designation is better here as it's commonly used for cars like the Toyota 86 and Ford Mustang to denote their small rear seat capacity.

          • @Pcoder: my 2014 outlander has an ok 3rd row. I'm 185cms and fit in it. it's not spacious but it's fine.

  • Is it really super though?

  • For a second I thought this was a hybrid tiggy

    Chery, the poor man's Chevy.

    • +7

I think most people would prefer a Chery over a Chevy.

      • -7

Name one person who would prefer a Chery over a Corvette.

        • +3

Simply count the number of cars on the road..

          • -4

@fans: Sure, which roads are we talking about? I'll count the millions of Chevys on American roads. You count the Cherys.

            • +5

              @MrZ:

I'll count the millions of Chevys on American roads

Who gives a shit about the US? Their cars suck and they have no taste.

              • -3

@smartazz104: lol, I have a Mustang and beg to differ. There's nothing any other country makes that compares to it.

            • @MrZ: Chery cars have seen rapid growth in Australia, selling over 20,000 vehicles since relaunching in 2023—12,603 of which were sold in 2024 alone, making Chery the fastest-growing car brand in the country. In contrast, Chevrolet vehicles (branded as Silverado pickups and specialty models) remain much less common, with just 342 Chevrolet vehicles sold nationally in April 2024, and monthly national Chevrolet sales typically numbering in the low hundreds.

                @0 0 0: Forget Australia!

Chevy USA sales 2024: ~2 million
                Chery USA sales 2024: 0

                • +4

@MrZ: You're forgetting that this is Ozbargain not Yankbargain

                • @MrZ: Chevy AUS sales: 0

                  • -2

@smartazz104: What are you on about 0?? Chevy sell about 4000 vehicles a year here.

        • +1

No, apples for apples. The Chev version of this Tiggo would be an overpriced pile of junk, like basically all their products.
Comparing a car costing over $200,000 is the only argument you have here, says everything.

          • -5

@FXx: Chery (or any Chinese brand for that matter) don't even make anything that can compete with the Corvette or Silverado or Suburban. Like I said, poor man's Chevy.

As for quality, Chevy is actually ranked as the 5th most reliable car brand in the US, even ahead of Honda (and light years ahead of Mitsubishi and Mazda).

        • +3

You're comparing this to a Corvette?

          • +1

@smartazz104: Yeah I think they took their Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry.

          • -1

@smartazz104: Dude, you're the one comparing a Chevy to a Chery "I think most people would prefer a Chery over a Chevy." I just named the best car that Chevy makes. Name for me the best Chery.

  • Unleaded 95 RON or higher

  • Great deal, good car!
