Lenovo: 15% Cashback @ TopCashback AU

420

There's some great deals on lenovo stuff already at the moment and with 15% off till tomorrow it made me jump the gun, enjoy! (cashback tracked in 15 minutes)

What will stop me getting my cashback
Purchases via the Lenovo Education Store, Outlet Store and any Employee Purchase Programs such as corporate partner stores are ineligible for cashback.
Assisted or negotiated deals via phone/email/chat are ineligible for cashback.

Purchases using codes imported from other sites, or clicks made from 3rd party plugins, newsletters, banners, advertising etc. are ineligible for cashback. Cashback is however eligible on codes generated officially by Lenovo on its website, even though they may not be listed on TopCashback, provided last click before purchase is from TopCashback.

The portion of payments made using MyLenovo Rewards Points and/or any Lenovo credits are ineligible for cashback.
Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential
Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
You must accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
You must always return to TopCashback and click the 'get cashback' button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
To be eligible for cashback, all transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted/negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know
Cashback is eligible on codes generated officially by Lenovo on its website, even though they may not be listed on TopCashback, provided last click before purchase is from TopCashback.
Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

Oh nice will have a look.
    Thanks @tjea

      Great choice,

Here's something a little lighter/business/light gaming related also for anyone wanting that

Would recommend getting a version without the 5050, much cheaper and better battery life. Also, the 860m is a very capable GPU for business and light gaming tasks (roughly on par with the last-gen 780m that it replaces)

        • Great suggestion, i opted for the 5050 because in some games it will perform better but in a lot of games there's not much difference so you're on the money.
the battery life difference wasn't a massive deal for me but again you're are correct that the intergrated one for sure has better battery life and for the price your suggestion is a no brainer for business/light gaming.

        • do you have a link for that spec, please?

        • What are your thoughts on the 880m with the ryzen 7 pro 360 in a T14s?

I wish I could get a T14s with a 120hz full gamut screen without paying the carbon x1 premium pricing.

No it's not. Both OC and yours are bad deals.

        • +1

          How so?

please show us the light Marshmall0w2.

      Bad deal

      • +2

Bro, you can't walk in here and sledge a deal like that and not provide justification and/or details of why it's bad or details of a "good deal".

  • I did some searching for my wife just last night and thought just the opposite. Couldn’t find many Lenovo deals. Am I looking in the wrong places. She needs a basic system for job searching with ms word and internet. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.6” (Ryzen 7 5825U, 16GB, 1TB SSD) was recommended but hardly anything new or used that matched that was on sale compared to other brands.

      • Thanks, I appreciate that. she is between jobs so hoping to spend less than that. Basically the minimum possible to do the things above until she gets a new job and work laptop. I was looking at the refurbs when it came to the Lenovo site for example

          Go second hand

        • Why not a Chromebook?

          • @Rimas: I understand you need to run office on the web only with chromebooks. This would be limiting. Otherwise yes.

  • after TCB not tracking on the recent Temu deal despite doing everything as usual, I am very hesistant to gamble cashback on larger purchases moving forward…

    • Sorry to hear that, but I’m somewhat glad that I’m not the only one. I’ve even pm’ed ta, only answer was to disable some stuff on my phone, despite the fact that I haven’t changed anything on my end. Also tried his suggestion and didn’t work. Using browser on my pc now.

  • Far out just bought a $1900 lenovo yesterday at 4.5% 🥴

    • Cancel? Reorder?

      • I could try but requires filling a form and they get back to you in who knows how long whether it's successful.

  • Any intel recommendations with 32gb RAM?

Been keeping an eye on this, but haven't found ground-breaking deals. Feels like it might be best to wait for BF / CM deals. I've been looking at ThinkPads T series.

      • Many thanks. You rate the T series over the carbon series for value? What size screen are you after?

        • +2

I'm looking at 14 inches. I'm not a big laptop expert, but have been doing a fair amount of reading before narrowing it down to the T series. I don't rate the T series over the carbon, but I think the T series is more appropriate for my usage and expectations, and it doesn't make sense to me to put the extra $$ for a Carbon. My priorities are durability and battery life. My current laptop is 9 years old, and I'd like to match this with the next if possible. Also, I've been using a T490 from 2019 at work for the last couple of years, and it's extremely reliable.

          • @Sebajun: I had a ThinkPad Yoga 460 for almost ten years, recently replaced it with a ThinkPad x13 Yoga Gen 4.

Longest I've had a laptop last so will continue with them and to suggest to friends, though another family member had a lenovo yoga that the hinges failed on, so I am less likely to recommend the consumer models even if they've fixed that issue.

            • @m13: Looks like a good option too. I've read on multiple occasions that the machines designed for businesses are usually more robust and durable, so I just removed models designed for consumers from my considerations.

  • Time to get a Legion Go 2? $330 cashback is a pretty good discount

    • +2

hit up live chat you will get it for $1749.

      • Before Cashback?
Any tips on how to get them to drop the price?

        • +1

If you use live chat for any discount/negotiation, please note the order may track but Lenovo will 100% decline cashback when they validate sales, per the terms. Just fyi.

          • @tightarse: I simply asked for a discount and was told i couldn't get one, will i get my cashback still?

          • @tightarse: Hi TA, would you be able to tell me if i use a Lenovo 5% discount code, will it invalidate the cashback?

      • How did you do that? I was not successful when I tried with chat

        • Via whatsapp

  • Any thoughts on this Yoga Pro with AMD AI 7 350/32GB/1TB SSD for $1799 before CB

Would appreciate advice on a couple of desktop choices for work, mainly using MS suite and netflix streaming, would like to have it future proof for at least 5 years. No monitor required as already have a 27cm Lenovo monitor still going strong. Thank you in advance to all the experts out there.

  • Cashback eligible on extending warranties?

  • Any recommendation for budget under 1k with 16", 16GB and 512/1T?

  • Perfect timing, I need to replace my old brick.

I was looking at below $1000 options like these.

    https://www.centrecom.com.au/asus-vivobook-16x-v3605vc-16-wu…

    https://www.centrecom.com.au/lenovo-loq-gen-9-156-fhd-ryzen-…

The whole "gaming" thing is not a must, the laptop will mostly be used by my wife for work and browsing.

Any PC expert here can recommend the best deal at around $1000?
    Ideally 15" screen minimum

  • Does anybody know if the 5% off code you get for first time purchase invalidates the cashback?

  • +1

You can save $300 ish on a Legion Go 2 with this cash back. Not horrible.
