  • Does the steam damage the hardwood if the hardwood is a thin layer? Forgot what it’s called but supposedly waterproof for a few minutes
Edit: laminate is the word I was looking for

    • +2

Laminate, yes it would damage (because the material is lower class compared to hybrid). Hybrid, no (because the material is specifically made for resistance). Engineered, yes (because natural materials would warp). Hardwood, yes (because natural).

Nonetheless, more recent gens of laminate are similar if not the same as hybrid. More recent gens of engineered have baked in more resistance. Real hardwood is still the same, so no resistance but sealant technology improves so more resistance if using modern gen sealants.

The scrub version of shark is very bad for your floors though so regardless nah for me.

    • I have engineered hardwood floors and have been using this model shark to clean them for about a year.

I haven't suffered any warping/damage and floors look and feel great.

  • What is the difference between this model and the new model? Thx

  • Thanks OP - nearly purchased this at full price a couple of days ago!
