Pentax K-01 Black with 40mm Pancake Lens.
Only saw this as I had just paid $399 for my one and was checking my review.
Great image quality and solid build and quirky looks which I like.
Built like a brick and looks like one, but does take amazing images. Video is so so.
Designed by Marc Newson, the not so famous Australian designer.
Enjoy,

N.B The $369 deal is found under other buying options, just add the one for $369 to your cart and hey presto it's locked in a $369 + postage (direct link)

I purchased this kit for 334 including shipping from Amazon, beginning of January, still waiting for it to be shipped.

    • According to camelX3 this is the lowest price this has been…? How did you get it cheaper…?

        It was the yellow version.

Amazon US shipping is terribly slow compare with Amazon UK at the moment.
My last dvd order from Amazon US took 9 weeks but my bike carriers bought from Amazon UK arrived in just 3 days. Amazing Amazon UK.

      • My experience with Amazon US has been great. My last order was a expresso machine which took them 10 days to deliver but that was in Dec 2012.

      • Never have slow experience with US amazon, everything has been under 2 weeks wait. I guess it could be location of states?

  • Are you sure you are not waiting for the yellow one laser as these were back ordered?

Chux, I checked this deal this morning as I had a few hits on my review for Amazon and saw the deal for $369, I then emailed Amazon and they dropped my price back from $399 to $369 as I had only had delivery within the last 7 days. Amazon truly understand customer service IMHO. Good luck and I'm glad it's a good price for anyone looking for one of these.

  • theearth, I have not found that, this camera took exactly 9 days to arrive and the slowest part was when they handed it over to AP! Go Amazon……….

  • Would this be better than the pentax kr deal or 365 delivered posted last week? I cant find a direct comparison but apparently the k01 has the same sensor as the k5 which is better than the kr and on paper the specs beat the kr.

    • The K-01 is mirrorless meaning it has no viewfinder, and would be more suited as a video camera of sorts, whereas the K-r has a viewfinder and more suitable for taking actual photos.

    • Bangomango, if you're used to using a viewfinder to compose & will shot a lot of fast moving kids/action, get the kr as it's got much faster AF speed & has a viewfinder.

If the above requirements are not required I'll snag a k01 due to the better sensor and better live view mode.

      • imho but with all its deficiencies k-01 overall is a better camera than kr.
although if you are not going to shoot video than kr is a better choice for you.

  • bangmango, just Google Pentax K-01 vs KR and you will see the K-01 wins.

Have a look at this as well: http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Cameras/Camera-Sensor-Datab…

This is the DxO image sensor score and review.

The sensor is the same as the one found in the Nikon D7000 so it's right up there and don't forget the amount of lenses that you can use on this. I'm using a 40 year old Super takumar 50mm f1.4 with the Pentax adaptor K and the images are stunning.

    Good luck.

    • can you show a sample of images you take that's stunning? curious to know how the camera in use is.

  • I've been thinking about this camera over a year and finally gave in at this price! I'm currently using the kx which I will now sell.

  • waterproof, sorry but I don't publish my pictures, however if you Google - Sample K-01 images you will find a plethora of shots. Also try Steves Digicams as he tends to take the same shot with all the cameras he reviews and then you have a comparison to what you are looking at or what you are currently using. Last but not least one must invest in decent glass if you want to get the best from any APS sensor. Hope this helps.

  • If some of you can hold out bit longer, jap yen is depreciating fast atm. The price for jap cameras will come down every now and then.
