Some prepaid phones from Virgin Mobile include $170 credit at the moment. Note though, any credit left after 30 days expires. Also, if you top up or recharge your phone within that 30 days, you may wipe out most of your credit.

Eligible phones listed are deal:

• Nokia 5000 $129
• LG KF300 $149
• LG KF510 $179
• Sony Ericsson K770i $199

Phones are locked to Virgin's network but after topping up $80 more can be released

$170 included credit includes $35 regular credit and $135 bonus credit.

All unused credit expires after 30 days.

Bonus credit:

• can only be used for standard voice calls, text, MMS, calls to 13 & 18 numbers
• is used first for eligible calls and services
• expires when you next recharge

You can get another $3.50 back from Moneybackco, though, as it's a new year, that'll probably go towards the $10 for the year that they keep.

  the 770i is the best phone of the lot.

  dick smith (or was it tandy… either one, they will price match each other) have it for the same price and with the same amount of credit but I don't know which network they are locked to.

  K770i is an excellent phone, I've owned one for about 6 months and it's a very impressive device. Great camera, UI and form factor. Should work on both Optus/Virgin networks.
