Price Increase - Ozito PXC 36V 380mm Brushless Lawn Mower 4.0Ah Kit PXBTMK-2438

This is a reverse deal. Lol

Just posting so it's on the record, since I reckon so many price rises go under the radar.

Bunnies just raised the price of this unit from $374 to $399.

Shame. If anything I was expecting the price to come down for a unit pushing 3 years old. Also odd with Aldi's sale coming up.
Bunnings reduced the price of the smaller model to match Aldi. But perhaps they're hedging prices by simultaneously raising the price of the bigger unit. :p

    Good data!

I'm still waiting for the steel deck to get a discount!

    • I've been waiting years for the steel deck to get a discount haha

      • It is $20 cheaper at the moment.

Those mowers are too light for a good cut. You are better off getting the Ozito cylinder mower, upgrading to a steel roller and putting a weight on top.

Perhaps. But portability is more important to me which is why I'm interested in the plastic deck. I need to be able to lift the mower upstairs and through two gates to get from the back lawn to the front lawn! Guess I can just put a sandbag on it if I need the extra weight when mowing.

Coincidentally, the rip cord on my 11 year old Honda petrol beast just snapped for the second time. So I was forced to make a spontaneous purchase.

Noticed that the Ozito 36v steel deck had a skin only version for $399, now the same price as the unit I've listed here! Since there was only 5kg difference in weight I bit the bullet and went for the steel deck.

      So happy I did.

The build quality feels much better, and although I was worried about the weight, my old Honda weighed about 45kg, so in comparison the steel deck, at only 20kg, feels super light and easy. The plastic version at only 15kg would honestly feel like a toy and would likely bounce all over the place.

Performance wise I was pleasently surprised. Easily enough power to do a standard lawn and even cut through some very overgrown stuff down the back (with a high and low pass).

Some complain about the maximum cutting height (25mm) but I found the third lowest setting was perfect. The lowest setting would be a very short cut.

      So overall, very happy.

  • Just starting looking around, have makita gear so far, not very good reviews on them so far.
Honda any good? any others only have about 200m2 lawn, 20 min job.

Steel deck is $20 cheaper than a year ago, and for $80 more than the above, much better value.
