    Great price.
    Grabbed some of each.

    Thanks!

  • Great price, grabbed one of each. Anyone else experiencing incredibly slow speeds on the website?

    • yeah shocking, even before I posted the deal

      • So slow the website threw up a message saying there was an error with payment processing, but it debited my card and I got a confirmation email so I guess we'll see what happens. It's like they're hosting their server on 56k.

    • Same (one of each).

      And same, website really slow.

  • Any ideas why the checkout asks if you're a racehorse owner?

    • Its what they call their membership

      • cheers

    broke the website …

  • I love beer, most types. I've been to that brewery multiple times for family events over the last few years and I dont like a single one of their beers. It's uncanny. Haven't had these stouts though.

    • Why, what beers are you trying? I usually go for the dark ales which I think are very good. Pale Ales, I’m not a huge fan of except on a hot day.

    Tripe Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

    Ew

My order failed but my credit card was charged as well, site is definitely not holding up well. (edit: Just got an order confirmation email, so I suppose it's fine).

  • How would these compared to Mountain Culture or One Drop if you've tried them?

    • I dunno but you’re going get a quick buzz on these ABV. I had a Moo Brew Imperial Stout from Tasmania and that is my favourite so far

If you liked Moo Broo check out.

        • Miners gold pale is fantastic
        • welcome swallow hazies are tip top
        • Shambles amber is firr
        • T-Bone choccy porters are fantastic

      Depends what you mean:
Most of mountain culture beers are hazys. And One Drop are a mix of hazys and sours.
So nothing like them. This is more like some of the beers you get from Belgium (Karmeleit, st benedaus, rochefort etc) or a typical barrel ages stout (all good Aussie breweries do these).

If you mean quality wise. St Andrews is just a stock standard aussie brewery. While mountain culture / one drop are up there with best breweries in Australia and I would say the limited released even compete internationally.

      • Thanks for the info. I’m a big fan of Mountain Culture and One Drop stouts. I was thinking this might be similar given the description and abv.

        • Ok fair. Look the St Andrews were probably good for the price.

If you're looking for top notch Aussie breweries which also do stouts though, have a look out for some of these (MC and OD also amazing fyi):
          - Deeds (shut down now, but sometimes selling their BBA stouts on deals)
          - Range (limited releases, also suss their hazies)
          - Bracket (limited releases, also suss their hazies)
          - Hawkers (do a good BBA and do great WCIPA's)
Heaps of people like Beers by Bacchus for stouts, but a bit too sweet for me.

Got 3 4 packs through. Kinda expecting it to be oversold though

    • Same. $70 delivered for 12 beers is not crazy cheap I guess 🤷

      • I am looking at brewing my own Belgian beer. You can get the grain for around $2.50 a kilo and the yeast is around $7 a packet, hops is $4. So by my calculation I could do just under 4 L for around $10 so it would be a quarter of the price of these. I say 4 L because I’m planning to do a test batch in a gallon fermentation jug.

  • Stouts are oos ;(

    • Both are OOS for me.

  • Are they likely to restock?
