But they do get very dirty!

maybe the ones you got were the "dry clean only" or "handwash only" sort?

i was babysitting a 2 year old for a friend a couple months back, after it soiled its self i checked on the tags and it definitely said "machine washable" on all of them… but it did say something about not to tumble dry caus it might shrink. the kid was small enough i figured so i didnt want to risk shrinking it any further.

it really seemed to like the front load washing machine. there were screams of joy for quite a while then it was so warn out by the second spin cycle that it just fell right to sleep.

strangely ive not been asked back since…

I've been using the liquid to wash baby clothes and nappies since the birth of my son. He is now 15 months old. All good, haven't had any problems. I like the fact that they don't leave a very strong lingering scent on the clothes, they only leave a little bit of fresh smell which is just the way I like it, doesn't really smell anything like oranges though. :) I heard that it's better to use liquid anyway because sometimes powders don't melt properly in cold water (I only use the cold water cycle) and the residue might still be left in the creases and seams of your clothes and may cause irritation.

I don't have kids so can't vouch for how it goes for their clothes specifically, but I've used a number of the orange power products over the past few years and highly recommend them. I personally will be off to Coles to stock up.
