      It shows up as free in the Australian app store. If you are using an international app store, you'll have to either:

      • switch app stores to the Australian one; or
      • wait until it is Thursday in your app store's time zone.

      You're welcome. Unfortunately, I doubt it will ever have voice nav (or I believe it would contravene Google's licensing terms).

    I have not tried it yet but eggsactly how is this different from the normal google maps app? Is it just a nicer UI?

    To see the difference visually, have a look at these two images. They are both unedited screenshots from the same iPad, looking at the exact same map area.

    You can see how much more detail is visible in EggMaps HD, and how it makes better use of the available screen area.
