2013 Daily Telegraph Uni Offer - FREE Monday to Friday Campus Pick-Up Subscription

140

One final university subscription offer (from me at least), from the Daily Telegraph. The newspaper is offering a FREE Monday to Friday subscription, with each edition being required to collect from the campus that you attend. Apparently the participating universities involved with this offer pay for each subscription, so there is a limited amount of subscriptions available for each campus so I would register quick if you're interested.

One note, looking at the outdated terms and conditions linked on the site - the home delivery of The Sunday Telegraph is not available this year. However the website shows both The Daily and Sunday Telegraphs next to each other, so not sure whether the pictures are just for advertising or The Sunday Telelgraph offer continues and it just hasn't been outlined?

awwww no love for UTS :(

    • Looks like I'll still be picking up the used ones on the train home. :(

    • UTS is like the only uni that doensn't offer. Call Student Union.

  • do they put your name/paper aside or do you get a card or something to pick it up??

    • At my uni, they just have a stack of teles, you show them your card/proof and you grab one.

      • Which card? Like student card? I haven't received anything that qualifies as proof I have a subscription.

        • So how does your uni handle it?

        • They send out a daily telegraph card and you just flash it to them and grab your paper. For the first few weeks, I just used that piece of paper, any piece of paper would do, to be honest.

There was never any home delivery last year anyways, very disappointed with that.

Really?! I received the Sunday Telegraph ever Sunday on my driveway. You probably got a sneaky neighbour who woke up before you every Sunday (or a cbf local Newsagency).

      • it doesnt ask for address on the sign up page! how/where are they going to deliver them?

      • Yeah, not just me though but a lot of my uni friends didn't receive any as well.

        • you guys should at least let the Sunday Telegraph know
someone is getting money & not doing their job
and this happen again & again until people voice out!

Signed up and got an email which I can apparently show as 'proof' to get the newspaper. It literally just has my name, email and phone number. How the hell does that qualify as any sort of proof?

There is also no indication in this email of when the subscription starts or finishes. I like the deal, if it's legit, because I'm at uni every day for class or work.

    • so everyday we're suppose to flash our A4 sheets of paper to them to claim our paper

    • some Uni requires Student Card(with your name on it) + this proof

      • Well I actually had to get a card they handed out in the first week of uni/ O week and show them that haha

Uni students with a subscription to the Tele- tragic.

    • You could use it as emergency toilet paper.

Considering how smeary the print is these days you'd have to be pretty desperate though.

  • Smh offer?

      • So no home delivery on weekends this year? Anyone know the best SMH weekend home delivery deal?

  • Not available at UQ :(

can someone please verify if this is legit or not?
I signed up but it looks really dodge.
LOL just says I can print out a form saying I can have a free paper every time I ask for one.
    really? will they honour this?

  • Signed up on campus last time and they gave us a card that you show the campus newsagency for the free paper. Also got the Sunday Telegraph delivered to my doorstep on Sundays too, of which I still have plenty of unopened rolls :)

    • Who gave you a card but? Like something you print off or what?

      • They had reps on campus, all we had to do was sign a form and they gave us a physical cardboard card.

  • It says its back for 2013, but all the information regarding dates in the text refers to 2012?

  • This offer came around last year at UNSW. What happened was we had a postcard ad handed out during O-Week with a unique code on it, which we then entered into some website (think it was this same website). It asked for our address and stuff, and a cardboard card came in the mail to pick up the newspaper from uni Mon-Fri. Also got home deliveries every Sunday.

Strange how they didn't ask for address this time, might camp out at uni O-Week see if this comes up again.

  • Let me know if anyone has any success with this because I don't know about you but I didn't get a card or anything and also never gave them an address to send one to :/

  • Same as above - if anyone could comment on whether or not they have successfully collected the paper from campus that would be great :)

  • yeah can anyone comment if they picked it up from their uni campus
