[Mac] Fantastical - $10.49, 50% off

60

I've been waiting for this to be discounted for AGES.

The Mac calendar you'll actually enjoy using

Creating an event with Fantastical is quick, easy, and fun:

Open Fantastical with a single click or keystroke
Type in your event details and press return
…and you're back to what you were doing with a shiny new event in your calendar!

Fantastical's natural language engine is expressive and intelligent so you can write in your own style. Even better, Fantastical automatically recognizes the location of your event and can even invite people from Contacts (Mountain Lion) or Address Book (Lion and Snow Leopard) to your event.

Your events have never looked better

Plan your day in style with the most attractive calendar you've ever seen. Fantastical's beautiful design helps you quickly make sense of your schedule. You can even change the number of events you want displayed, allowing you to focus on what's important.

Need more info about an event? Just click on it and the event's important details will be displayed instantly.

Track your tasks

Fantastical supports the same reminders as OS X and iOS, giving you the fastest way to create or update your todo list. Creating a new reminder is as easy as creating a new event: just type in what you need to get done.

I wish I could write apps like this… No this is a pretty big profile app.

without being a dick - this is just a calender program - and its 50% off and still COSTS 10.49… and people think this is OK ??????

There's plenty of task managing and scheduling apps that cost a lot more.

I'm probably not going to buy this one…but $10 wouldn't deter me if it was an application I was after. It's the sort of App you'd use on a daily basis, so I'd want one that I like. If that happens to cost a bit then so be it.

That said, I realise people place different values on certain application types.

    • I don't know what software you buy, but there's plenty of posts here on games etc that cost way more than this that people will use for maybe 1-2 months then hardly ever use again. I myself have bought a lot of these games thinking I'm getting a great deal then haven't even played half of them!

Having actually trialled Fantasical and also after using it as my default calendar for the last few months on the iPhone I know this is a program I'm going to use almost every day for the next year at least, so to me that's definitely worth $10.

iCal isn't really crap, but it's not the best calendar program either, lots of things bug me about it, so I'm happy to pay for something better.
