  • What charger would be best advised for these in aus?

I think the Eneloop charger was on sale in Dick Smith. At the time I got it, it was selling for 19.99 which included 4-pack AA. The charger can charge both AA and AAA batteries. That's the one I'm using. Best to get a charger locally or you'd have to use travel adapters.

This is the one I got: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/S4462/eneloop-quick-charger - It says $39.99 now but I got it about a month ago for $19.99 in store.

If you want the maximum capacity and life out of your Eneloops (or any rechargeables) get one of the Maha chargers. The MH-C9000 is very good but not cheap … around $60-70. The Lacrosse BC-700 is also good and a little cheaper @ $40-50

      • if you can give me a idea of that "maximum" different is like 50% more? 80% more? will be much appreciated.

      • i've heard good things about the bc700/c9000 but do they come in Australian plugs or would i need to adapt it? and where would be the best place to buy it?

Cheaper and quicker to get the AA glitters from DSE.

    • Sure, unless you actually you know.. want AAA like the post says.
EDIT: Ah. my mistake. Missed the last bit of the description. Maybe i guess if you lived in the middle of nowhere and didnt have a DSE?

I drove by the desert and saw a DSE… hiding behind a few cactii.

In any case, it depends how urgently you need them. Two weeks from the US, vs 30-60 mins of extra driving.

Where I live, they're everywhere. You can't throw a stone without breaking one of their windows.

    • Yup that's why I already put that in the description that the AAs are not cheaper than Dick Smith. The AAAs are much cheaper though. The AA's are about $7 dollars more expensive but they're shipped to you in case, like cheese510 said, you don't have a DSE nearby. Plus, the Amazon price would still work out cheaper once the DSE sale is done since the 8-pack typically sells for $39.99 whereas the Amazon price generally stays around the 20 dollar mark.

      • Eneloop lite?

        • The lites have significantly less capacity than standard eneloops.

    • Are those legit? I would love to try the new 1800 charge eneloops.

    • supposedly, Basically $3.25 a cell delivered fast. (or $2.40 X4 [email protected])

I bought 4 packs of these from this guy a month ago because I have heated snowboard boots that take AAAs and was heading to Japan - glad I did because he was cheaper than buying them in their country of manufacture. Go figure. Good guy, will let you collect if you live locally. He says his are sourced from Singapore.

I don't notice the difference between the 1500 and the 1800s.

      • Thanks for that info. There are a few 1500s on sale on ebay that are quite cheap. Might give those a try.

  • If you need just AA eneloop, dicksmith have them at 19.99 for 8 pack pick up.
