At least make some sort of effort to list some of what they have on sale, maybe include the best offer in the title.

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelineā€¦

Edit: Better! Title could still do with a bit more info, plenty of room up there.

  • Samsung and Hyperx SSD are crap. This looks more like a clearance than a 14 hour bargain sale. No offence to the OP

The Samsung 840 SSDs are NOT the Pro ones - the Pro ones are 128/256GB. Centrecom is actually selling the normal ones which are 120/250GB so the post should be adjusted to reflect that (along with the Staticice prices which are different).

Undercutting MSY by a buck or two… I guess it's alright if you're a local and want to pick up at Centrecom but otherwise shipping kills it for everyone else. Nothing amazing though :p

  • The Samsung 840 comes in 120GB and 250GB capacities, not 128GB. There are 16 prices below $100 for the 120GB Samsung 840 on Staticice with a minimum of $98.

Perhaps this is the 840 Pro which does have a 128GB model and which matches the $144 above.

    • Nope, on the actual Centrecom page they're selling the normal 120/250GB drives.

    • Yeah my mistake, I am in the habit of writing 128 and 256 and wrote the wrong models in staticice :/ Sorry guys.
I kinda wish I didn't put this post up as nothing in this 'Sale' seems that much cheaper than other places…

  • it costs $49 to ship one SSD to Perth?!

    • +5

how else are they going to make money?

  • +1

Prices seem just normal, I usually just compare to PC Case Gear, who often have decent prices (but not necessarily the cheapest)

Thermaltake Black Versa Mid Tower = $72 at PCCG

so save 3$ to be gouged by postage costs centrecom = $33, PCCG $17 (or $24 express courier)

  • Shipping is abhorrent!

$22 to ship a 2.5" HDD Enclosure to Sydney!

Hey guys, thanks for the post!
I'm reading about the shipping prices and I'm adjusting them as we go. For example, changed the 2.5" HDD Enclosure to $6.95. Let me know if you have any pricing problems and I'll see what I can do for you.

EDIT: Change SSD shipping prices. Also adjusted the TT Versa.

Good to see a rep take on board the comments made and correct errors instead of getting defensive, +1 from me

    • Hi,

When i pay Centrecom via bank deposit via Commonwealth entering the details

      Account No.: 461108567
      BSB Number: 083-266
      Account Name: Centre Com Sunshine
      Bank Name: National Australia Bank

I get rejected and have been charged a $2.50 fee for being wrong.

Can you guys provide the correct details?

      • Hey,
That information is correct, I'm unsure to why it would be rejecting you as our other bank transfers today have not shown a problem. I advise you to contact [email protected] so they can help you further with rectifying the issue.

        • I have but it's been 2 days and no one has replied to me. Doesn't help when there is a 14 hour sale and i want to buy things but i can't even pay for them.

  • Kingston HyperX SSD is 120GB, not 128GB.

  • When I add the Cooler Master Notepal I300 to cart, it still shows up as $29. Not the sale price of $19 advertised.

    • +2

      Fixed. Sorry about that.

  • The Logitech quickcam pro looks like a good price, tempted… although really I need a mouse more!

  • be careful with these centrecom sales, I bought items on sale before, do bank tranfer and waiting for one week, the sale told me that my order is cancelled because multi-order ???? they keep my money for 2 weeks still not return. The issue is a trick from Centrecom, they ads as sale, get your money but they dont have stocks so finding excuse to cancel your order. Dont deal with these guys. My order was cancelled with the reason "multi-order" ????

  • I'm having the same experience as Mapna has had and no Centrecom official has replied.
