Sennheiser PMX680 for $40 @ Dick Smith - Store Pick up Only

110

Just picked up a pair of these headphones for $40 from Dick Smith in Malvern after doing the store pick up. This is the fourth pair I have bought (as gifts) and they have never been below $50. DS usual price is $89.

They are the best sport headphones I have ever used and at this price it is a clear bargain.

  • I believe these headphones has been discontinued to be replaced by a new model, and this is a clearance price. The DS "usual price" quoted by the OP is likely no longer directly relevant.

I purchased these from a Dick Smith store in late December or early January when they were $50, and there was 40% making them $30. Whether or not a similar offer will come around again before clearance stock disappears is uncertain, and arguably unlikely.

I've been quite happy with my pair. At this price, still a good deal if you're in the market.

    • I just checked on Amazon and they are $35. Don't know if it ships to Australia though.

      • Just checked and will not ship to Australia. Even if they did shipping would at least be $5 and the wait time would be around 2 weeks.

  • Yes, these are great, ie they stay in.
    Sound is excellent.
    And they are sweat resistant.
I bought a pair last time they were on special as well.

  • these are absolutely the best headphones if you want to run or do any kind of sport and want your headphones to stay put.

hmm maybe ill get another pair as backup

    • I actually like the short cable too, I have the 'i' version where the volume component is replaced by an iphone style microphone with volumne up/down buttons, but the long cable cannot be removed. Absolute pain having to roll it up and have it bounce on my sleeve when I run.

      • ahh yes - i have the i version too. wondered why the cable in the pic above looked a bit different. i always run with my phone in my shorts pocket so the long cable is good.

  • well the cx680 are better but cost alot more.

This is a very good price though

    • Personally I don't like how the CX680's don't have the sports band and a number of reviews of both sets feel the same.

    • i bought the cx ones and they constantly fell out of my ears while running and were lacking in the low range. i returned them and got the i version of the pmx680

  • Thank you very much. Was looking for a decent sounding pair for workouts.
