WD Elements 3TB USB 2.0 for $130 @ JB Hi-Fi, Brighton. IN STORE ONLY!

120

Hi there, this is the first deal I'm posting. Someone I know picked one of these up for $130 yesterday, but had to wait 24 hours for my account to be activated. I picked one up too today and thought I'd share. Enjoy. :D

I don't have any other information, other than the receipt being uploaded, so if you want to get one, grab one now.
Ignore the online price, as it says it's in store only and hopefully their staff won't argue with you.

The receipt is in the picture. :)

great buy if you want to crack it open from casing

      • I wouldn't say it's a 'great buy' but an okay one considering it's USB2.0 and that a 3TB USB3 WD External was cheaper 7 weeks ago from JB:

For a WD product, it is. The cheapest 3TB Elements is $175 at the moment, so that's quite a saving.

I don't want to start a Seagate VS WD battle though. :P Each to their own for me! :D

voids warranty if one was too discard/sell case?

      • You can buy Toshiba ACA 3tb's for 135 for an internal drive, its a rebranded Hitachi drive, extremely reliable. Its worth the extra 5 bucks for warranty.

  • Edit: Showing on the list now. :D I guess posts need approval. :) Thanks mod.

  • Is it just me or the part that has JB Hifi logo on it has different background colour than the rest of the receipt?

Yeah I just noticed this as well. A fake receipt?

I don't know what it is you're seeing, but I can't believe I'm having regrets from posting a good deal here now.
I edited the receipt with a black backround now.

If anyone wants the original receipt, please feel free to send me a private message. :)

yea, its definitely shopped (photoshopped)….. ive seen a few in my time… i can tell by the pixels……

/me sighs maybe you should learn how cheap scanners work….. kgo…

        • Even my cheap $60 scanner doesn't do this…

Anyways, it's just something to be aware of.

        • USB 2.0 = Cry.
          WD = Cry.
Seriously, get over it. It's not Seagate. From many Google searches, that's a good thing and owning WD Elements 1TBs and 2TBs externals, none have yet to fail on me, though it's time to upgrade and cram it into one.

Sure USB 2.0 isn't fast, but it gets the job done and I've got zero complaints at the end of the day.

Lucky the trolling didn't get my receipt ignored, as I've got four more on order for $115 each at a local computer store here. :)

Trolling bargains posted may just do harm to those who want to get a good deal, so good work to idiots like you trying that.

People are to be aware of getting a good deal on a WD product? Oh wow, that's sad. Stay away people, before you see money left over in that wallet of your's. :(
