*Note only the specified "ELIGIBLE GLASSES" can be chosen for the deal. (Use the given link)

I bought glasses from Clearly Contacts, all up with extra coatings and delivery it cost me approx $32 ($19.95 coatings + $12 postage) attached is the copy of the receipt. I received the glasses within 4 days of ordering(Sydney western suburbs).

If there is any confusion about the receipt I also ordered a pair of contact lenses ($22.49 per box).

You will require your prescription details if you are ordering and maybe a ruler to measure the size and length of the glasses that fits you.
The code is entered in the payment page - I found that I had to enter the code in lowercase letters for it to work.

  • This is an ongoing deal that they have, but a good one indeed. The only thing is, I think their range of "free" glasses have been greatly reduced lately…

I "bought" one last time and was quite impressed with the quality. Great as a backup pair.

  • Bought my "first free pair" two weeks ago, got them after a week in the mail:)
They also sent me a gift card with unique code for "glasses for your friend), pay only postage. I made my partner my friend and ordered another pair, yay:)
Quality of these cheap glasses is really good! Especially for this money!

No provider number on that invoice, means you can't claim with your Health fund, but a great deal still

    • +1

Providers price are all inflated taken into account the claims you can make.Unless they are on special.

    • Even though a provider number is not stated, the receipt included a second page - states
"Insurance Info - ClearlyContacts.com.au is a recognized provider with most Australian private health funds. If you are a member of a fund and your coverage includes optical appliances, you may be able to claim your purchase. To find out whether you can claim your purchase simply call 1 800 639 478."

might be worthwhile to give them a call and find out?

      • They were previously registered with Health Funds but most funds have not renewed their registration (within the last year or so)

        • Really? We cant claim them through health funds any longer? That sucks, I used to always use up my optical benefits through these guys.

Just pay postage for about $14 it is a great deals. This deal has been on and off about 2 years.

  • I'm not sure about buying my glasses online. I'm in real need for a new pair but I'm worried, should I be?

    • if you haven't had an eye test in the last year, definitely get that done first. I bought a pair to use as a backup pair from these guys before (as I mentioned above) and when I tried them on, I didn't feel any difference to the $500 pair I use everyday (well, optically. build quality is not bad either).

      • If we can buy contact lenses online, then why not glasses? I see no difference between the glasses I bought from SpecSavers over the counter and online.
If you are ordering online just be careful with the measurements and the sizes.
Just like "erd" I bought these as a backup pair.

      • Yeah I booked an appointment with my optometrist for this Wednesday afternoon. What I'm worried about isn't the build quality but rather the measurements and sizes.

Anybody know if the ultra thin air lenses are worth it? I understand it'd be opinion but I don't know if it's worth the extra 70. If it helps, my prescription is (dated September 12):

        Eye / SPH / CYL / AXIS
        OD (Right) / -1.25 / -0.50 / 180
        OS (Left) / -1.25 / -0.75 / 180

        • I measured my current glasses to get an idea of the required measurements.

The normal lenses offered are apparently 22% thinner as I recall (correct me if I'm wrong),
whilst the ultra thin is about 33% thinner, I thought that this wouldn't make much of a difference, my glasses aren't thick and they came the same size as the ones I bought from Spec-savers which cost me $200.00. I personally don't find 11% difference in thickness much of a big deal.

Ask your optometrist for you're measurements, I'm sure they can help.

On another note if you have health insurance(as the limit resets on 1st of january as I have been told) and prefer to choose a pair of glasses or contact lenses at the optometrist, then why not?
