This photography course offers students the opportunity to shoot some models indoors and out using flash to learn how to control both the shadows and highlights and produce a predictable result. It’s an ideal class for those wanting to get the maximum from their accessory speedlight with the minimum of fuss. Over the two days you’ll learn all about creative portraiture techniques, how to manage natural, continuous and electronic lighting and how to get the best from your own gear including shooting in high speed flash modes, wirelessly and in multi-burst modes (where appropriate). The course is divided between working indoors, on location and half a day in a computer lab to examine and edit the resulting work.

  Not saying that this is a bad deal, but if you are confident in your self-learning capability, save $212.50 and go to strobist.blogspot.com.

    The web is good for learning but the best way to gain your experience is to go out and practice. Doing courses do and will help you gaining skills. At the end of the day it's all depends on the person who's doing it :)
