    In all honesty, Synology have recently increased their prices and we're already selling them at cost.

      I'm not having a crack.
      I was just saying it wasn't a bad deal, but the Slingshot one on the w/e was better.
      But you're now the cheapest (of people who are stocked)

      & I made a typo, the DS212j was $178.

      Maybe Synology are bring out a new model?

  The WD Red 2TB is only $3 cheaper then other stores. So unless you live near Ultimo NSW its going to be more expensive to get it from here with delivery.

      no offense but it doesn't mean your prices are very good/very cheap compare to other retailers!

      maybe do us a better deal….than just simply "advertising" here?
      we like bargain, but we hate "pure advertisement"!

      if you get lots of +(positive votes), you know your prices are good!
      and your website got promoted(more people know you guys) + they might buy other stuff(you win!)
      but advertise a few dollar cheaper + shipping = we(ozbargainer) really tired & sick of it!
      sometimes adding your shipping on top could be more expensive than buying from the shop locally!

    The 213 is very good. I'm using one for media server/download box at home and I couldn't be happier with it.
    Have not had one problem. Running 2 x 3TB WD RED HDD's in mine.

  so this nas is almost $200 + 2x$125 for 4gb = $450 for raid0 or just buy a Segate goflex 4tb HD for $199 from dicksmiths on special this month & use the included backup software

    Comparing a synology nas to a USB backup drive is like comparing a Ferrari to a Holden.

    I've got the 213 (model above this) and they are brilliantly made devices. Their GUI and software is like no other. It does everything you could throw at it.
