iPad Mini Wi-Fi 16GB White $329 at MSY Clayton ($369 at Apple)

520

The title speaks for itself
I went to get a HP laptop that was on special for the day and saw these.
I am not sure if any other branches would have them for the same price or if they have any in stock

The only thing is I do not know if they're grey imports
However, MSY will provide a tax invoice
Since I have a 64GB model I did not need one.

If you're going overseas within the next 30 days you can claim your GST back!

    • +1

      apple store is $369
$40 difference is not the same

      • Sorry, I think I was in the US store…

        • fair enough ;)

    Same price as apple store?

Apple Store price for Wi-Fi only 16GB model is $369.

    So, $40 off rec. retail.

  • if only they had the 3G version, id get one.

  • +1

Some very strange people on OzBargain and/or they can't read time stamps.

Why neg my comment? It only pointed out that the price was $40 less than the Apple Store's rec retail.

Nup. I did click reply. I even quoted the original comment. iPhone problem perhaps?

You're so cool and anti-conformist. Teach me wise one.

    • So you'd rather get those Chinese made "iPad mini" from China?
      They are not from Apple.

    Never knew MSY sells ipads..

Enjoy your arrogance over gadget purchases. The ladies must really love it when you brag about your tablet's DPI!

      • Chicks dig DPI.

        Man, I am sooo 70's.

      • -5

its a fact. and no one likes being ripped off

        • +2

There's a lot more to a user's experience than just the screen's DPI. Number of Apps, build quality, warranty process, availability of accessories, familiarisation with OS…

        • that wasnt my point. my point was that you are being ripped off - sub par screen for the price

        • I got your "point", clearly you didn't get mine. I know there are better screens out there. But there is more to a tablet than just it's screen. Some people may not like Android. Some people may rather use a quality Apple product with a lower resolution screen than a crappy built Samsung/Motorola/ASUS that has a few more pixels. Also, same people may not give a dam about the screen resolution.

If you want pure specs on paper to brag about, sure the iPad Minis not the right device. But Apple isn't targeting that type of person.

        • if you are not giving a damn about ur screen resolution, you are doing it wrong

        • +1

…or your an average consumer with other things to worry about in your life.

        • Crappy ASUS tablets?

          What..

good price! wonder if JB will match the price

    • I tried to get JB to price match MSY on an external hard disk one time, but JB wont price match MSY, the guy said something with dodgy warranty.. I wonder if JB will price match this..

    • The Apple Store will!

  • Can't seem to find this information on their website

  • +3

maybe new ipad mini is coming out soon, they probably going to name the new one 'The New iPad Mini'… watch the space

  • Other than the OP, has anyone managed to get one? it's not in MSY's price list, or im looking in the wrong place…

Which MSY store is it OP?

    • says in the title MSY Clayton

      • ah true, sorry was too excited after seeing the $329.. where is Clayton? I'll check google map!

  • 16gb is enough for a ipad mini?

    • personally no. because you will restrict yourself to what you can load on there (apps, movies, music, etc).

      • you are right ey t25, i used to think that 16GB is enough, but now my music collections are already close to 10GB, and if I want to upload movies, i dont think i would be bother deleting my previous movies for a new one.. but what about 32GB?

        • 10GB of music? I think I had that in 2004.

          • double post -
        • haha yea sad ey, I want to have all of the musics, but because of $$ factor, I only select the music that I really want to keep. any way I have been using spotify since last year, and it really has taken over and solve this issue..

    • probably not. I got one and one game like fifa 13 take up 1.7 GB asphalt7 take another 1.5 GB and that is like 1/5 of the storage gone

  • I see Macbook pro 13" behind that ipads. Is that on special as well?

    • I didn't check out the macbook pro

  • any saw black ones for the same price??
yea bummmer that they dont show it online..

wouldnt big w or officeworks price match and offer -5% more?

  • +1

sold out, only 2 left for reserve. I went there but unlucky

  • Do they a actual catalogue there do it makes price matching easier..

grey import usually have darker part on the top like this
    http://www.ipadizate.es/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/ipad-mini…
i think that is trademark for asia stock

    • +2

isnt that to signify that it has 3G/LTE?

      • my bad, i only ever purchase wifi version of ipad. I went to china a see everyone got this so i thought that is what import model look like. A lot to learn on ozbargain.

        • the reason why everyone in china has the 3G/LTE version is because of the parallel importing that goes on. More money to be earnt selling the "high end" models.

    • only 3G/LTE version has this all around the world!

    • -2

The dark part is the 3G antenna. OzBargain is quickly becoming the new whirlpool where people who have no idea, try to help people, but actually just cause confusion.

Please check your facts before sprouting off.
