PS Vita LBP Bundle +16GB Card for $297 - DSE

150

So after the Playstation press con 2 days ago where they showed its true potential, I finally caved in to the fanboy in me and hunted for the best deal on a Vita.

Seems like this deal was currently the best among B&M stores [http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/92725] so I took a short drive to Seven Hills. It was not advertised in store so I had to ask them to check it online. I then tried to bundle it with a 16GB card and asked for a discount ~$10, albeit wee. The ozbargainer in me asked for a screen protector as a throw-in but, alas, no stock so I settled for a screen wipes. To my surprise, the rep handed me the LBP bundle with a 4GB card.

Not sure if this is just an error on the rep's part (seems like it) but I just thought I'd share it with the community as a price-match opportunity.

  • Not at bad price for local stock. I paid roughly $195 for the assassins creed 4GB bundle and roughly $60 - $70 for the 16GB memory card from Superufo. So to walk in and pick it up, not bad!

  • bleh why is there only black in australia D:

    • yeh~~ the white one that comes with the AC bundle is pretty.

@freeslave_44 If you're looking for a screen protector, I recommend Hori. It's a tad bit expensive but your $250 vita deserves a little extra protection.

      • I've ordered a red Soul Sacrifice Premium Edition from Japan. Expensive but not black!

  • wasnt there supposed to be an imminent price drop again?

    • Nope, Japan only.

  • +1

Wait, I just read the description to this.
You went in asking for the normal vita with card, ect. Rep accidently did the LBP version for you in a deal at a cheaper price then advertised.
Seems like another case of buyer got lucky.

"Not sure if this is just an error on the rep's part (seems like it) but I just thought I'd share it with the community as a price-match opportunity."

That makes me think this isn't a deal just like the 3TB Buffulo EXT HDD.

Holy hell that Rep took $61 off the price of that console O.o
Their website has the console at $299 which is prob why he gave you that one because it was already cheaper, but he removed a massive amount of money.
I asked the Dick Smith at Warrawong and Wollongong. Neither were willing to do that. Managers just laughed.

Looks like the rep put it through as: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG1600LBP/ps-vita-wifi-lbp-p…
That bundle is $238 but doesn't come with the card. Your receipt doesn't have the wipes on it. Looks like you stole them.

    • Yeah the $238 is the better deal anyway, buyer got lucky and when the DSE guy went outback he probably picked up first LBP Vita he came across.

  • as i said in the op, i think it was a mistake. im not complaining though.

if it helps, i got it at centro mall in seven hills. try your luck.

  • Not too bad, thanks :)
