Good one. Plus if you travelling overseas then 10% less.

      Fail deal

Plus if you travelling overseas then 10% less.

        Ah… no.

GST rebate would be closer to 9%.

        Eg. BigW at $598
        GST of $54.36

Still, worth it if traveling OS soon after purchase.

    • +1

For $8 more , you get one now. (at BigW)

Plus, be sure of Australian warranty support on the models with 'Cellular'.

  • +2

The 64GB version is actually $1 cheaper at BigW if you pick up ($8 for delivery).

  • The 64GB version is actually $1 cheaper at BigW if you pick up ($8 for delivery).

    Yup, much better 'bargain'.

Also, I would not want to 'put-up' so much money up-front, with an "up to two week" wait for delivery, for a HK iPad.

And, just how reliable/reputable is this Sole Trader Divij Mehta?

I would be concerned that he might 'do a Sam' - as in 'DealBoard'.

  • 1) Sole Trader selling Hong Kong iPad from/via Hong Kong = Doubtful protection if anything went wrong with the purchase AND if support/warranty was needed after the purchase.

    2) Some models are almost as cheap from a local B&M supplier, and others are cheaper (for local pick-up).

  • +1

No deal here as others said.
64GB with wifi cheaper in Big W.
And that is Australian stock with BigW /Aus warranty

  • went to apple hk store, then use xe.com 32wifi+cell turns to be AU548.xx
not much margin for them actually.
i think for now, buying local less TRS is better than grey imports

  • Compared to local deals… There is NO deal here. $8 less (just over 1% discount). 2 week wait. Technically no local warranty. No thank you.

  • 2/10 would not buy

  • To whom so ever it may concern

Please note that Dealworkz.com.au is a legitimate website based in Sydney Australia in operation since August 2011 with a Sole Trader structure, information which is readily available on the internet for public knowledge.
Dealworkz has been conducting its business operations liaising with Australian consumers in an ethical manner evident from the fact that till date Dealworkz has not been a subject of any complaints to any relevant Authorities by any party associated with Dealworkz.

As far as the question of reputation/reliability is concerned:

Since our inception Dealworkz has had many deals and bargains featured on multiple online platforms including Ozbargain and would encourage any Ozbargainer who has been a Dealworkz customer till date to express any sort of a negative experience they have had with Dealworkz where a satisfactory outcome for them has not been attained till date.

To any person/s who have concerns regarding the authenticity of this business and subsequently wish to draw comparisons of any nature, are encouraged to make contact with Dealworkz through the email provided for their concerns to be addressed.

Therefore simply put, a 'One size fits all' approach, is not always wise in judging the reputation/reliability of any and every Sole Trader that conducts business in Australia.

    Thank You

    • To whom so ever it may concern….
      Thank You

How about responding to the comments made about your so called 'bargain', and some of the questions these comments brought to my mind?

      1) Just who are your "channel partners based in Hong Kong"?

      2) If something went wrong with the purchase. Where would a buyer go for a refund - you as a sole trader or your supplier?

      3) If in-warranty or out-of-warranty support was needed, where would a buyer go?

      4) Are the iPads being sent directly to the buyers - from Hong Kong? Thereby making the buyer the importer?

      5) Are the iPads legal imports - with approved AU 'duck-heads' and AC power supplies/chargers?

      6) Are payments held in some sort of account until the iPad is delivered. Or are payments made to Hong Kong before iPads are dispatched?

      7) Taking into account the prices posted in several comments for AU iPads purchased locally. Where exactly is the bargain?

      Thank you.

    1) Just who are your "channel partners based in Hong Kong"?

Our channel partners are based in Hong Kong. As for their identity, every business operates within a framework of keeping in mind the best interest of their business. Dealworkz is no different and therefore who are channel partners are should be of less concern to anyone, especially when Dealworkz is the merchant that is willing to accept accountability/liability/provide an Australian front to a customer based in Australia.
To reveal who are partners are is solely based on the discretion of Dealworkz and the partners in question.

Yes the buyer would naturally come to Dealworkz since the buyer would be making a purchase on the Dealworkz platform fuelled by Paypal. Moreover please take time out and familiarize yourself with http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ and you may find your questions answered here too.

Yes the iPads are directly being sent to the buyer. This is clearly mentioned under the Terms and Conditions section listed under each deal. And yes the buyer does become the actual importer of the goods. The goods are accompanied with an Invoice from Dealworkz for custom clearance purposes.

    5) Are the iPads legal imports - with approved AU 'duck-heads' and AC power supplies/chargers?

And yes these are legal imports. and come with an AU 'duck-heads' and AC power supplies/chargers.

    6) Are payments held in some sort of account until the iPad is delivered. Or are payments made to Hong Kong before iPads are dispatched?

Irrespective of how we deal internally with the supplier, a buyer is protected under the Australian consumer law and moreover any purchase on Dealworkz is made via Paypal which also offers buyer protection to consumers, something any online shopper and Paypal user would be familiar with.

    7) Taking into account the prices posted in several comments for AU iPads purchased locally. Where exactly is the bargain?

What Dealworkz has posted to be above is an iPad sale. Not the LOWEST PRICE in any market in the world sale. Where a product is regarded/perceived as a bargain depends on where a buyer is making comparisons from and what dimensions are being taken into account for comparison for instance the angle of overseas travel etc soon after a local purchase. Overall every consumer is entitled to their own opinions.

Also we would encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Dealworkz 15 day money back guarantee, something that might aid in determining the reliability/reputation of a sole trader.

We appreciate the interest you have expressed in Dealworkz and thank you for your very valuable time taken to explore this business.

    Have a good day!

  • 2) If something went wrong with the purchase. Where would a buyer go for a >refund - you as a sole trader or your supplier?
    3) If in-warranty or out-of-warranty support was needed, where would a >buyer go?

Yes the buyer would naturally come to Dealworkz since the buyer would be >making a purchase on the Dealworkz platform fuelled by Paypal. Moreover >please take time out and familiarize yourself with http://www.apple.com>/legal/warranty/ and you may find your questions answered here too.

So, the iPad warranty MAY be covered by Apple Australia unless it is a model with Cellular Wi-Fi. In which case, will Dealworkz cover the cost of freight to and from Hong Kong.

    4) Are the iPads being sent directly to the buyers - from Hong Kong? >Thereby making the buyer the importer?

Yes the iPads are directly being sent to the buyer. This is clearly >mentioned under the Terms and Conditions section listed under each deal. >And yes the buyer does become the actual importer of the goods. The goods >are accompanied with an Invoice from Dealworkz for custom clearance purposes.

As Dealworkz are invoicing and, as you have stated, the sale is made by Dealworz an Australian business - I take it the GST will be paid and the invoice will state this?

    5) Are the iPads legal imports - with approved AU 'duck-heads' and AC power supplies/chargers?

And yes these are legal imports. and come with an AU 'duck-heads' and AC >power supplies/chargers.

So, what is the approval number?

    6) Are payments held in some sort of account until the iPad is delivered. >Or are payments made to Hong Kong before iPads are dispatched?

Irrespective of how we deal internally with the supplier, a buyer is >protected under the Australian consumer law and moreover any purchase on >Dealworkz is made via Paypal which also offers buyer protection to >consumers, something any online shopper and Paypal user would be familiar >with.

So, the sale is an Australian one - and you will be remitting GST?

    7) Taking into account the prices posted in several comments for AU iPads >purchased locally. Where exactly is the bargain?

What Dealworkz has posted to be above is an iPad sale. Not the LOWEST PRICE >in any market in the world sale. Where a product is regarded/perceived as a >bargain depends on where a buyer is making comparisons from and what >dimensions are being taken into account for comparison for instance the >angle of overseas travel etc soon after a local purchase. Overall every >consumer is entitled to their own opinions.

So, you were selling these iPads at a higher price? Please post a link to prove this.

Regardless, at the prices you posted, none of these iPads are truly "a bargain".

Also we would encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Dealworkz 15 >day money back guarantee, something that might aid in determining the >reliability/reputation of a sole trader.

Is it 15 days after ordering, after dispatch, or after receipt by the buyer? You quote a 14day delivery. If it is date of receipt, how does the buyer prove the date?

How does a 15day "money back guarantee" determine the reliability/reputation of a sole trader? You may get 'scammed' by your Hong Kong supplier - AFTER they have the buyers money. As a sole trader how are you going to refund all that money? Of course, as you say, PayPal offers some form of Buyer Protection.
