  • wish the $199 TV deal is back.

  • I wish Dick Smith could be more generous…

    • yeah, most of their items can be found more than 10% cheaper elsewhere…

  • Gift cards? Didn't see any exclusion.

    • It says "excluding discounts" ????

    • Can't seem to buy them through the dse online site though. I get redirected to http://everydaygiftcards.com.au/

      • Yeah i realised this after did a search on the website.

      • Clicking on the $100 DSE gift card item from an old order did not work either. 404

  • Your $20 cash back will be deposited into your PayPal account within six (6) weeks of the promo end date

Makes this $20 cheaper than last time it was posted. Not a bad deal at all for australian stock.

Was very tempted to grab a 3DS XL with this, but doesn't seem like you can pay online (using Paypal) & pick up in-store - you have to pay in-store when picking up. Would be great if it was like Harvey Norman, where the whole process is done online & you just pick up the goods yourself (my God, never thought I'd utter praise to HN!! :-p)

Unfortunately delivery of $10 doesn't really help the bargain in my case. :-(

    • You obviously donot know how Harvey Norman work. If you do click online and pay, it doesnt mean the item is yours, they have the sole right to cancel your order at their whim, keep your money for 5-10 working days. Read their T and C, which you accept at the time of making an online purchase.

      • It happens with Dick smith also. I had ordered 4 sony cameras 99$ deal and it didnt reached for 3 weeks. Then i called them up to find that its backordered and not expected to come back as the model is discontinued.

So I was offered another camera or money back. If i havent called, may be they would have sit in my money for longer.

Very sad i couldnt get the camera, but was really surprised to figure out how they dont update you on the status of order when they clearly know the camera would no longer be available.

Every retailer is hungry for our money, once they have it, they dont care about us. :(

        • Although slight, there is a difference. At HN, your order is cancelled vamoosh gone. What happened with you at Dicks was you got an option for money back or another camera (which may or may not have been what you were after or equivalent).

      • I've used HN's one once before - maybe I got lucky or maybe 'cos I followed it through the stages & made sure that the store had my stock, etc., but I had no issues with 'em.

Thanks for the heads-up for next time though.
