FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q - How do Meatcart store prices compare?
A - Almost all of our products work out to be cheaper than regular supermarket pricing. We check pricing regularly to ensure we’re competitive.

Q - What are the quality standards of Meatcart products?
A - Every single product from Meatcart is export quality and produced under export conditions, meaning the quality standards for production are far higher than domestic quality standards. This means that when you order from Meatcart, you are receiving some of the highest quality meat produced in Australia, and at the same time paying prices which are almost always lower than supermarket regular pricing.

Q – Is Meatcart meat, better than most other meat?
A – In a word, yes. The beef (for example) found in supermarkets can be sourced from animals that range in age up to 7-8 years old. All Meatcart beef is derived from animals no older than 18 months. This understandably results in a far better quality meal.
While many bargain butchers will frequently sell meat which is at or past it’s ‘best before’ date, our product is produced to order, and is as fresh as possible.

Q – Why is GST only applied to the delivery and not the product itself?
A – GST does not apply to food, so there’s no requirement to charge for that, but there is a requirement to charge GST on delivery because it is a service.

Sounds good and I'm willing to give it a try, so +1 order!

    • Hi djkizz - Welcome to the family and thanks for your order, I'm sure you'll be quite happy with it!

  • What is the meat percentage of those sausages? Some sausages in the supermarket have meat percentage as low as 60%. Mr Beak sausages sold in Woolworths claims to be 90% beef.

    • Hi there - I've just spoken with our resident Food Technologist who has advised me that those sausages are 75% meat. The rest is made up of herbs, spices, and of course some natural fats found in the meat which is used. This formula was developed after exhaustive tests in order to result in the best eating quality sausage of all the samples trialed.
We in fact tested a 90% meat sausage, and found the higher percentage of meat included (over 75%) resulted in progressively poorer eating quality due to the lack of moisture.

Thanks REP. Would be good to include these details in the website so people can make an informed choice on what they are buying into since there are so many different types of sausages. Nutritional facts are welcomed too.

        • Thanks for your feedback. I'll pass on to higher up and I would expect they'll probably implement that soon! They are currently in the midst of refining a lot of the content that's on the website.

Sounded good until the postage killed it, would like to try it but the postage is almost as much as the sausages

    • Hi there - Unfortunately delivery is delivery there's no real way around that, unless you'd like to pick your order up from the production facility in Murrarie.

Typically we find that our customers will buy around 2 weeks worth of meat at a time so the delivery cost becomes fairly insignificant. Hopefully you'll give it a try so we can impress you!

  • Do you have any heavily marbled beef? ill definetly make an order if you do

    • Hi there, it sounds like you're referring to products like Wagyu with a high marble score. Unfortunately we don't offer that at the moment, however the intention is to add that to our product line in the very near future.

  • Hi yes thats exactly what im after, after living in Japan for a few years i crave good quality marbled beef, but its difficult to find, i tempted to buy your sausages but not enough ill see ya next time thanks
