      I ended up calling them, and they refunded the $14.95, based on that I was close to their delivery centre (or whatever). I feel it's definitely a website glitch, but didn't have the heart to tell them that.

          Yes, but in their defence, this item is not listed as free shipping so just because everyone else is getting free shipping does not entitle to a refund of shipping fee for those who pay it..
          They really have to be kidding to give free shipping to regional NSW and not the rest..

          My case was kinda online deal glitch too. It was a pricing error and DSE not only honouring it but also refunded the shipping fee. So I say just give it a try, no harm.

    Got one in ACT with free delivery. Looks good. It's totally suitable for a 60" TV. The panel will extend over the edges, but as long as the base fits and the tv and is less than 50kg (which most are) you're doing fine.

    Free everywhere except suburban Sydney by the looks of it… I've tried 3000, 4000, 6000, and random suburbs, all free. But anywhere in Sydney Metro gets charged… ymmv I guess..

    I have one of these, picked it up in store at about this price last year when they were running out a store (for closure). This thing's rock solid - I'm really impressed with it, nicely made. Simple and clean design, it reminds me of the accessory cabinet gear that you used to see with the high end sets years ago.

        just basically said it's free to everywhere else so why not Sydney? The guy I spoke was really nice and agreed with me and told me I'd get a refund for shipping.

      I called them, and had to argue it out and speak to a manager. They argued that I wasn't entitled to it and that it was a bug, but then gave it to me anyway. It's hard work, but satisfying if you get the refund!

      that could be quite large given that it supports up to 50kg. My 50 inch Pana plasma is only about 34kg and LCD TVs are usually lighter weight.

      I think the limiting factor would be the size of the stand on the TV. You would probably not want the TV stand hanging over the edges of the glass shelf.

    Anyone who has one, given overall height of 50cm…
    Am I correct in estimating the mid shelf to underside of top ~25cm and bottom shelf to underside of mid ~20cm?

    Would like one but only if I can fit centre speaker and other items in there.

    I called Dick Smith online sale team this afternoon, the guy kept on saying that he cannot waive the delivery fee for sydneysiders!!!

    was it signature on delivery only or do they also drop it at the post office?
    i had issues with the viano 32" deal as startrack express wouldn't deliver to the post office and would only accept signature on delivery, they wouldn't do driver on approach messaging either
