  • THe screen is much worse than the Nexus 10 which is faster, newer and cheaper. >$700 seems a bit steep for and old tablet . This was a great tablet 1 year ago, but now it's a bit dated .

Nexus 10 doesn't have a keyboard dock, USB input (unless you use OTG) or multiple SD card slots. They're quite different tablets to compare. Some people have requirements that the Nexus 10 doesn't meet, and vice versa.

    • The nexus screen might have a slightly better resolution but I wouldn't say its better to look at at all.

  • Tegra 4 was announced so new tablets should be released in a few months. This tablet has tegra 3 which is ok but getting outdated tech wise.

  • It seems this tablet also gets quite hot, when under full load.
Was looking to buy one 1/2 year ago.
Now I wait for a Quad core Krait with 3G

  • Not a good deal. As mentioned above, why not Nexus 10?

I just bought one of these recently and was tossing up between this and the Nexus 10. I needed a keyboard so that was a big issue in whether to go with the transformer or pick up a nice accessory for the Nexus 10. I'm a bit of a fan of the Google branded stuff so that's the one I wanted.

In the end, the keyboard dock (which extends the battery life for a few hours) was probably the deciding factor but the SD card, usb and the extra memory were issues too.

I've never noticed it getting hot.

I got one of these when it first came out. I'm typing this reply on it actually. I use it everyday. I travel a lot and find the keyboard dock to be a god send. I can review photos straight off the SD card and copy images to my 1TB portable HDD via USB. I can also type up my travel blog using proper keys.
