Airport charges are dearer in Sydney. Sydney fares were cheaper when being promoted a while back.
AA is promoting Melbourne at the moment & is same fare price as Gold Coast despite the extra distance.Bugger these prices - Scoot was $99 SYD/GC-SIN on sale 21 Feb.
I flew $99 GC-SIN with Scoot late January, & flew back 2 days ago on AA to Gold Coast from KL for $78.
Yangon is only $27 from KL - Myanmar is a magical destination, but not relaxing.
(Was lucky to see & listen to Daw Suu Kyi twice, met local writers who had been imprisoned for their work, cycled around ancient Temples & Pagodas, but saw a dead body float down the river and tribal people are still being killed by the military in border areas, …)
