    • OK I changed the deal to the Sharp 70" seems is better deal than the Samsung.

      • ??? nah i think for most ozb people, sub $1,5k is easier to spend than 3k.
also i never buy something that just released/newly produced, and i think 70" is.
better wait and find sweet spot. at this time, 50" 55" or 60" non 3D.

        • Yeah I know but the Samsung one is not the cheapest.

        • But must factor in the bragging rights! There are guys who need the extra few inches!

        • also i never buy something that just released/newly produced, and i think 70" is.

The 70" has been out for more than a year. You may be thinking of the 80" ($9000+) which was released a few months ago I think.

Getting the boss at home's approval $1K is too much :(

        • Remember several years ago when I bought my Samsung 46" Series 6 LCD, it was like around 2,500.

But I started to feel it is too small and looking for bigger :o

        • Yeah I paid over $4k for a 40" Samsung. Ouch. :(

        • The boss has the balls champ. I'm hoping that is you.

        • That would be an anomaly. Usually, the one without the balls is the boss.

        • Hence the reason I'm single and have relationships… Just because society says that women rule the roost today, doesn't mean you have to accept it. And no, men in that situation have no balls.

Having a house cleaner and casual 'friend' is much more enjoyable and a HELL of a lot cheaper.

        • I paid nearly 8K for the 60" Kuro in a group buy when it was first released. RRP was $12K :-0

        • LOL……
I paid 10K for the first plasma I ever got. was 42".
Was a 2nd generation Plasma made by Hitachi.

Even till this day, it still works perfectly and the picture quality equals or better to one that you would buy now for $800.

        • 8K for TV lol

        • That's. what. she. said.

Too small. Need 90 or 94".

      seems legit

    • But it will go so well with your 150K watch.

  • Hate to think what standard def looks like on this thing from an average viewing distance…. Eeeeeek.

    • Not as good as on my Sony Trinitron that's for sure.

  • I'm also a fan of this Sharp 70". Thinking of picking one up as soon as I move in to new place.

Good guys has just beat Harvey Norman by $8 - $2979
