$50 Mystery Saltwater Fishing Bonus Bag at 1-Day.com.au Only $20 + Shipping

31

Today 1-day.com.au has two mystery fishing bags for sale.

The $20 mystery bag is $20 and includes $60 worth of products.

The $50 mystery bag is $20 and includes $125 worth of products.

Obviously the $50 one seems like great value and is more than likely a pricing error that they will probably honor because they want to get rid of this stuff anyways. I've seen some fishing gear on 1day before and have been tempted but never purchased. For the most part it looks like good general fishing gear…can't go wrong for approx $30 delivered.

Perfect for restocking the tackle box with top quality products

This $50 mystery bag is huge and jam packed with gear. Whether buying for yourself or buying as a gift, all fisherman will find this mystery bag useful. Its guaranteed to contain quality tackle that everyone can use.

Brands include PENN, BERKLEY, SALTURA, P-LINE, BIO BAITS etc

Mystery bag contains but is not limited to products like
Flasher rigs
Nylon leader line
Hooks
Softbaits
Tools
Sinkers
Swivels
Sharpeners
Please note each mystery bag is different but you can be assured you are getting $125 worth of products.

lol.. dont even get tempted by this..

must be loaded with junks.. trust me.

    • They have had some alright fishing gear in the past. For this price it is well worth the risk. Or you can go to BCF and buy line for $20. Or a bag of sinkers for $8. Hooks $6. Etc etc. and that's for the cheap ones.

      • oh its fishing gear, i thought the usual crap they try to unload..

      • Thats still only $36 rather then $50 for $125 worth of descalers and Jumbo shark Hooks and Hook Sharpeners.

Actual value based on severly inflated RRP?
I am not going to bite or be hooked by this.

      No need to get crabby!
      Others may get lured in…

True. For me… it smells too fishy.

          Good line…

          Reely guys?

    • A while ago they sold boat covers for $39 instead of $299. Well the price was not exactly 100% but the lowest I could find was $269. Best deal ever on this site. Also the towables for $29 were decent. When comparing their fishing stuff with Torpedo 7, they were only 20% cheaper.

  • without brand name fishing gear, I wouldn't risk it!

    • The "Brand" they normally sell is Relix. Not heard anything bad about it yet.

  • $250 for 53$ shipped. Could not resist.
As Long as it's not JW (they never had that brand anyway)
    Let the wait begin ….

    • I did the same two lots to save a few bucks on shipping. How bad can it be i don't think we're going to get caught out on this deal.

      • Sinkers: With the rate I snag, I certainly can use them
        Swivel: never can have enough
Line: Time to change some line on th reels
Reel? That would be nice, got some rods Lying around
Rod ? i doubt, too hard to ship.
        Hats? That would be disappointing.
Plastics? Meybe Berkeley Gulsp? That would be a real treat !

        • I'm not expecting a rod. Slight possibly of a reel maybe even though it's not mentioned i've seen them for sale before. Plastics are a real possibility. All the other stuff like line, hooks, sinkers, knife / some kinda tools would almost seem certain. Let me know when you get yours i'd love to compare what we got if you're interested.

    • Nothing wrong with the old Jay-Dubbayah!

My first rod was a JW! 14 years old and still going strong! Seriously I love that thing. I do get where you are coming from. Some of the stuff they sell is below par quality

  • Sounds like they're selling "show bags" full of promo gear that was given away for free at boat and camping shows

  • if a company isn't keen to advertise what they are actually selling then you can be sure it is a pile of rubbish

  • I suppose it save labor cost. they dont need to fill any particular order.. Just grab some stuff put it together and done.

    Anyone else get the email?

    "Good morning

Thank you for your recent order of the $50 Mystery Fishing Bag of goodies.

It is with great regret that we have had to stop these orders ad provide you with a full refund. We realise this is not ideal and it is not a situation that we wanted to have happen.
This was purely a mistake at our end with the stock for these mystery bags.

The good news is whilst we cannot fulfil this order at the time, we will be sending a special invitation just for YOU very soon when these become available.
Time frames on this will be within March and will be limited to you only

We apologise again for this inconvenience.

    Kind Regards
    Your CS Team@1-day

  • Did read your comment first, then did read the email.
Yes, got it too. Do we want to start a Class Action against 1-day ?

First i got an email saying it takes 5/7 working days, then an email saying it will take longer …

1-day was a good site, did not let me down before ! What's happening.
How do we interpret this? They refund us and hope we forget, that there should be something coming?

    • Maybe it really was a pricing error and thats why they aren't honouring it? I guess we will see in March if they offer us the $125 value $50 mystery bag for the price of $20. Curious to know if the people that paid the $20 for the $20 mystery bag got the same e-mail?

      • If i read:
"This was purely a mistake at our end with the stock for these mystery bags.
The good news is whilst we cannot fulfil this order at the time, we will be sending a special invitation just for YOU very soon when these become available."

It seems they did not have the stock, nor have it anytime soon. So they decided to refund and then resend the offer at a later point. But i doubt that they will offer the $50 bag for $20. Now i have to tell my son, that the surprise package is NOT coming. Disappointing. An agreement is an agreement.

Yup 1-day sucks. That was the final straw for me. I usually check their website every day but not anymore. They clearly have stock, they just don't want to admit it was a "pricing error" that they would still be making money on.

  • So did anybody get the promised special invitation? (time frame specified as within March)

  • +1

Nop, and it's not coming. I sent them an email asking where the special invitation was, and if it will be sent over easter.
Answer was that they did not have special, and not even in planing.
In a return email that they probably ignored, I said that a lot of people are comparing them to COTD.

    • 1 Day are the worst. I don't even bother checking out their website anymore. I've had issues with them in the past but thought i'd give this deal a shot and they let me down again.

      Stay clear from 1 day.
