  I would avoid, my partner got one last time and has spent 3 weeks of no reply to emails and getting hung up on the phone when trying to return the one that came DOA.

  Dick Smith are just a resaler and don't take any responsibility (but somehow get it right to sell an extended warranty)

    I bought this TV not too long ago, and I thought it arrived DOA too but it turned out there is a switch under the screen that needs to be flicked on. Did you guys miss that? :)

      I think 99% of the time it's that switch… I had a TCL years ago, same thing, took it back and felt stupid when was shown the switch :-/

  i've bought 3 of these tv's from the last 2 posts. no free shipping = no bargain for me.

  I also bought this TV the last time it was on sale. The price was right but the picture quality is horrible. I connected it to the same aerial that my TCL TV (only 720p) was connected but the difference in picture quality was very noticeable. My non-full hd 32" TCL LCD TV (also $199 from HN last time) was far superior in PQ. To make sure, I tested both TV's using the same PVR and again this Viano has lower PQ than my TCL and Panasonic TVs.
