I live in Sydney so these are perfect dates for PAX AU in Melbourne

    • Same here! I have been waiting for this moment since I bought my 3-day pass last year!

And now I just need to sort out accommodation…

    • Damn that sounds really good. I'm keen to go but alas, none of my friends as interested. :(

As mentioned in another post, it is in our collective interest to book via Jetstar Pricebeat.

-more available flights, given 1hr flex for equivalent flights
-the seats on tiger will last longer, thus more time to pricebeat on Jetstar
    -$9 flights after 10% discount
    -$0 booking fee
    - no restriction on payment method

    The number is 1300 369 516

    • Legend, mate.

    • The Jetstar price beat guarantee is only available on flights up to 30th June.

      • Did they say that to you? Or based on the website?

        • +1

Website says valid for bookings made up to 30 June

        • +2

Bookings made until 30th June - Travel Dates can be later than that - I have done a Price Beat for a previous deal for July / August.

True Bargainers don't pay / use their minutes to call a 1300 number. Add JetStar.Airways to Skype and call for FREE ;)

      • Kogan has free 1300/1800 numbers :)

        • -3

          If you have reception sure

      • Thanks for this great tip! Great community! Smart savvy nerds ;)

Good luck. Jetstar have been known to refuse to price match these Tiger deals, and their terms and conditions specifically state they only match one direction (not return fares). So if like me you get an a-hole from Jetstar refusing to price match don't waste your time arguing, just hang up and call them again and hopefully the next Jestars person will be more obliging.

Last time, I got fed up wasting my time with Jetstar refusals and flew Tiger. Was actually pleasently surprised.

    • How do you request a pricebeat deal with Jetstar for this Tiger's return deal?
One way is regular price, and another one is $1.

I think Jetstar match (beat) total return price?

      • You can only call up and try. Jetstar policy is to only price beat a one way fare. NOT A RETURN.

Many have been told NO by Jetstar, but some others have been successful, seems to be dependent on who answers the phone.

$90 return Syd to Alice Springs is a great price.

  • +7

You've simply got to credit Tiger for such prices, hence Jetstar is driven to compete…

  • Doesnt darn well show any $1 return fares for me on my selected dates.

Edit: did not expect a tuesday to not have the return $1 fare.

  • Oh I wish Jetstar had a beatable flight Syd to Alice springs!

    I don't trust tiger :(

i got $107 melb to perth thats with a $20 flight Centre voucher too! :)

    • +1

Tell me more about this flight centre voucher

      • If there talking about the same one as mine its one you get from completing a feedback survey after using the site to make a booking :) valid for 12 months.

      • Ops sorry I should have made it clear. I bought some flights with flight centre and they give you a 20 voucher valid for 12 months . So I got flight centre to book it, they beat it by $1 and I got to use the voucher. Win! They actually should give me a voucher again for buying from them (doesnt matter if you use a voucher to pay already).

YAYAY I am going to Mel!

    • +1

      Good choice! LOL!

Thanks Tiger for offering such competitive air fares!

  • I can no longer see $1 return flights for Melbourne Sydney … Sold out? *Shattered if so.

    • Melbourne <—> Sydney is listed under Melbourne. (and not Sydney…for whatever reason)

  • Just passing on huge thanks, from my bestie's hubby!
We're always looking out for cheap flights to Adelaide, so he can visit his mum (awww, shucks!) so, I checked first then rang him. He's very happy with his $57 return airfare :) Got slugged $17 booking fee (ticket was 39.95), but hey..beats driving there :) Cheers OP!

Should pay using a Mastercard Debit Card - Save booking Fees!

      • Ain't got one of them, only got credit version :(

        • ME bank has free mastercard debit cards.

Commbank also issues them, but they come with $4pm fee unless you're a student or deposit $2000pm.

  • Can't find the $1 from perth to melb :( cheers anyway

  • Never had a oroblem with Jetstar price guarantee. To get the Tiger deal you must book a return to get the $1 fare if your lucky. Jetstar only price match one way fares so you must compare Tiger fares on one way sectors.

  • thanks op, used Jetstar's price beat to get a ~$74 return 2 ppl Syd <-> Melb.

  • Why does it say- 'offer applies on ALL Tiger routes' but then we cant book the $1 return flights on say a Singapore to Phuket flight? Is this misleading?

  • Bought Melb-Cairns for only $181.90 return for two (with carry-on luggage only)! Paid by Debit Mastercard, so no extra cost.
Tried to get Jetstar price beat Tiger but they didn't have any flight within an hours before/after for Mel-Cairns (and there was no meaning of beating $1 fare for return).

  • Return flights for two people from Melbourne —> Perth in August for $221.90. Cant complain about that!

  • $85pp x 3 came up to $333 after all their add ons using a mastercard.. still happy with it.

  • Awesome post OP!

Anyone got a tip for best value accommodation in Gold Coast (OZB style… Not Palazzo Versace level, but neither the Cockroach Inn)
