MalwareBytes 50% off for 24 Hours AU$12.47

520

Not as cheap as MSE, but it does a fairly thorough job. I've used the free version before and quite liked it.

Pro version adds realtime scanning, auto updating + heuristics to attempt to remove zero day vulns.

  • It is pretty much the best of the Spyware Protection options out there. It can be a little invasive and clash with other software but it'll deal with the nasties the others ignore or pretend to clean. It's saved my bacon more than once.

I've only used the free version but the Pro version at 1/2 price looks pretty tempting. I just wish one license allowed multiple uses :)

    • Agreed, Malwarebytes is anti-malware, Not anti-virus or anti-spyware or even anti-rootkit, These are different from each other, just about all AV programs like avara, avast, avg and that are anti-virus and a good at it, but suck at the malware bit, this is where malwarebytes steps in.

So just remember that it not a catch all program, but it does a bloody great job at the malware bit.

I highly recommend buying the pro version, unless you are running a manual scan daily.

Uhhh, spyware and rootkits are malware.

  • I agree, this is the best antivirus i have ever used, and ive used the majority. Its small and quite, and picks up viruses that the larger more expensive anti virus seem to ignore.

  • I've been using the Pro version for a few months and it has proven its worth by stopping any dodgy links from opening in the browser and preventing suspicious outbound traffic. It does this while the anti-virus program remains blissfully unaware. My recommendation is to pay for this and get a free AV such as MSE to supplement it.

  • Not as cheap as MSE

yeah, but it probably does its job … http://www.tomshardware.com/news/AV-TEST-Certification-Secur…

I use MSE in conjunction with Norman and Comodo AV's, I run all 3 on a test machine we have for plugging customers computers in a cleaning them up. I have found that MSE will discover the virus before the others do. The other AV's normally wait till the file is executed or modified before scanning it in real time or you need to manually run a full scan. MSE normally (for me) seams to scan and new things I plug into the machine and then ask me what I want to do, unlike comodo that just deletes the files without warning.

Its not the best AV out there but its really not as bad as everyone keeps putting it up to be.

  • I'll buy this. Nice find. Thanks.

  • I don't think it's meant to replace a dedicated AV…? I thought it was meant to compliment something like MSE?

    • Correct, this is supposed to work alongside with an AV.

It is important to note that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware works well and should run alongside antivirus software without conflicts. In some rare instances, exclusions may need to be set for your specific antivirus product to achieve the best possible system performance.

  • Price in title please.

    $12.97 (US$)

  • Fantastic program.

  • I use this alongside Avast Anti-virus. Awesome product. Thanks OP :)

  • Yes for only $12.47 (Lifetime License unlike AV software…), I will give it a try as there are some many good user experiences.

  • Anyone use this together with Kaspersky, any issues?

    • Been using MBAM and KIS together for a couple of years now, absolutely no problems or anything whatsoever.
      Highly recommended.

  • Great program. The one I suggest every person to scan with. :)

  • I would want to buy it from office computer and install at home PC, is it possible?

    • Yup. After checkout you get a license key. Save that license key and use it at home.

  • "*** We've just made the deal even better for you, if you purchase multiple copies you can now get even deeper discounts ***
    1 Copy for $12.47

  • Great Deal got 5!! Have been wanting to get this for a long time.

Will be putting this on all family members computers as most of the silly calls I get are due to Malware!!
Would recommend anyone who gives free advice to their family members do the same!

"*** Great News! MalwareBytes has agreed to extend this deal for another day - Enjoy! ***"

  • The freebie saved my butt the other day with FOUR bugs that every other scanner failed to pick up.

This came up at a good time. Thanks OP
