  • That is a great price, we had to order 6 of these to get the same price on ebay. Got them on my feet now!

    • 6 pairs…
I tell you what, these eyesores must be damn comfortable if you dropped over $300 on them.

      • They weren't all for me…5 other people joined me in the purchase. We use them a lot in hospital.

        • Ah I did not know about their use in hospitals/hospitality. And by all accounts - they are "damn comfortable" as I so eloquently put before. I can't say I'll ever own a pair, but thanks to all for making me appreciate their existence :)

Anyone else think these look like Crocs without holes?

    • I actually own Crocs without holes… and they look just like Birkenstock clogs (except for the heel strap).

Another option for the crocs-without-holes style of footwear is the gardening clogs from Bunnings for about $10.

Any colour you like as long as it's green. They come with a strange furry snap-in plastic liner, which can easily be removed and thrown away.

I got some to wear when showering my disabled daughter… I find myself keeping them because they really are comfortable. I'm not about to wear them out in public though…

Makes sense - I detest the look of both Crocs and Birkenstocks :)

No offense to ppl that like them… we're all special unique snowflakes!

"Sexy pair of clogs"……. said no-one ever.

    • +3

You my friend have obviously never been to Amsterdam! ;)

      • I never liked Birkenstocks until I lived in Amsterdam. Bought a pair and loved 'em. I miss Amsterdam.

  • what are the positives of wearing these types of shoes?

I have seen the odd chef wear them, but are they comfortable or just a fashion item?

    • +2

      yeah I'm interested.
I know a few people with the birkenstock sandals who swear by them.
I could never justify the price to try them & they don't look as good as my VB thongs, which were better value - $40 for beer & footwear vs $120 for footwear, but nothing to quench the thirst.

    • They are some sort of orthopedic miracle, they have no padding inside yet are the the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Used to work 12 hour shifts in hospitality in them, chefs usually do longer hours. Plus they are rubber so easy to clean.

      • exactly, alot of nurses, theatre doctors, cooks and people who need to wear shoes for long hours wear them
The back edge of the clogs are slightly elevated and have no holes, so they are fine to wear if you want to consider occupational health and safety

    • Easy to clean and comfy. I wear at work (chef)

  • +1

I don't pay any more than $1.99 for my thongs.

and a true Ozbargainer you are :)

you have well and truly earned your Ozbargain badge

please wear and respect it with honour

    • +2

I don't find them at all comfy…they ride up my Cr**k

        They aren't condoms

        • I'm not entirely sure you're using condoms the right way…

  • true i don't think it matters if these clogs get moist

  • I just bought 3 pairs very similar with holes in them from cheap as chips in Mildura $1.50 a pair

    • Yeah, I don't think they're the same thing :/

  • I know … mine are full of holes

    • I used to wear mine at athletics day at school because the holes cut down on drag.
