  • Thanks, just grabbed one.

2-3 weeks? I reckon by the time they send the item, there will be other seller selling the same model for a lower price. I wonder if unique mobiles can price match this??

    • I just bought mine last week. Took around 5 working days only.

      • From Kogan? When did you pay for it and when did it arrive at your door step?
Very tempting but the 2-3 weeks plus 3-5 days delivery is a bit of a turn off, where does it ship from anyway?

        • From my knowledge, they're shipped from Hong Kong.
So I think it takes them 2-3 weeks to get it from Hong Kong, and then another 3-5 days to deliver it to your door.
I'm quite positive it's shipped from somewhere from Asia.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

        • I bought the 4G model from Kogan.

I paid on 20 March, got notification that it had shipped on 25 March. This morning (27 March) the Toll tracking site says it has arrived in Adelaide and is 'out for delivery'.

I should have it today so 7 days delivery for me.

        • 5 days to ship? How come it says 2-3 weeks on their site?

    • any ideas about whether unique mobiles will price match? I will try tomorrow.

  • Wow..
I just bought one YESTERDAY for $588 (inc postage)
And to find out it went down TODAY.. lol
I'm going to see if I can get refund for it to re-purchase it..

If you bought it from Kogan, you can email them to request for a refund of the price difference. I have done it before and I got the refund.

          Okay,
So I just e-mailed the customer service.
They gave a very prompt reply, but he asked if he can offer $40 credit instead of the refund.
So I replied to him saying that I just want the $40 back.
Haven't got a reply yet, I'm guessing their office hours finished for today.
I'll wait until tomorrow and let you guys know about it.
          Thanks!

        • That's great!

Okay, so after sending them an e-mail about the issue last night, they replied this morning and have told me that theyve refunded $40.
          No hassle.
          Very happy :)

Yeah, probably because it's $529 now. They have to process the refund quick before you ask for $59 refund again.

        • oh noes !

  • Got this phone, hard to use for 1 handed operation effectively, but i I do love it more than my old iPhone 4

    • hmm it would be an awful phone if you didn't love/like it more than one that is 2 years old lol.

  • Been waiting for ages for this to come down in price.. Wonder if should get this are grab Samsung S4 or HTC One.

Any ones thoughts? Currently Im on a custom firmware HTC Hero. ha! so anything will be a great upgrade.

S3 is better value. S4 and HTC One are better phones. Depends how much money you want to spend.

      • True. Not sure about better phones since Note 2 has a larger screen which kind of puts it into a slightly different catergory. S4 will have a price premium obiviously and HTC One the aluminium body would cool I think but thats a 5" screen slightly smaller than Note 2.

Problem is I use my phone as a internet device more than a phone hence why Im caught up on the Note 2's bigger screen. hmm I probably wont be able to make up my mind until I see S4/HTC One in store and have a play.

tempted to downvote purely on the spelling of GREY - it is spelled with an E in Australia
good thing I'm not thet petty ;)

    • edited.

  • it will ship from hk from stock anywhere in the world. My note was from Germany. and it took a while. note 3 will be out soon…

    • My Note from Kogan was intended for the French market (ooh-la-la).
Incidentally it seems that Samsung intends the S4 to largely take over current 'premium' Note territory. Very strong and plausible rumours suggest 'Note 3' (if it's even called that) will have a 6.3 inch non-AMOLED screen.
I suppose there might be a screen-size model in-between the two. We shall see…
