      • I can confirm that they will be $7.50 since I saw them in the Big W catalogue yesterday, I remember saying to myself "these look very similar to the ones I bought yesterday….." And they are cheaper plus I live near Big W and will have it sooner rather than having to wait this week which will be longer than usual thanks to the long weekend public holiday.

Also my order was supposed to be dispatched today but it hasnt since I havent got the dispatch email to track my order yet. I dont think it'll get her until Wed/Thursday

I just got my pair and… well… theirs just too much base and it just feels so cheap.

    • Could not agree more … $9 for ear muffs :)

      • +4

So they're just like the originals then :P

    • +1

Not complaining for $9, I think they're fairly decent for <$50 headphones.

      • i think i would have returned them for any more than $9 though

    • All your base are belong to us? ;)

  • +3

First things first, I would never get these for $50. They feel like $9, not $50 headphones. Im not complaining since they were only $9 and I wasnt expecting much from them.
Second, the picture on Kogan is VERY misleading as it showed the red outer bit of the earcup to be white but they are indeed red, the headphone itself is all red no white what so ever as shown on the Kogan site. I was a bit iffy about this as I felt lied to. Also my headband cushion was loose and half falling out when I got it, not sure if this is how they all are but I think it was because they came unpackaged, no box no nothing for protection and were probably squashed during the whole process.
Thirdly, they feel SUPER cheap. Stuck on the headphone right under one earcup looks like melted rubber that is now solid stuck on the headphone and shouldnt be there for any given reason and looks extremely crappy made.

Sound quality is meh, Beats-like at a fraction of a price. Overall Im quite pleased with them for $9, if I got these for $50 then first thing I would have done would have been sending these back. Thats my quick not so much of a review and first time experience with Kogan, shipping was quite quick considering the long weekend so Im quite pleased

    arrived too.
still feel too expensive for $9. damn.

    • +4

Agreed, mine just arrived. I laughed at the included warranty notice "please ensure that you keep all of the original packaging" ok, I'll hang onto the bubble wrap bag…

Cable length is 115cm not the claimed 130cm. It does have decent quality cable if thickness is your measurement. The sound of them is pretty bad, if I were to use one word it would be 'sludge'. I imagine I'll probably end up gutting them and using the parts on something else. They are fairly comfortable, which seems to be their only savior at the moment.

In short these are 2$ headphones with 7$ postage.

They didn't last long, thanks to this awesome tool which fatefully arrived at the same time, these headphones are now in pieces and mostly in the bin.

I do a fair bit of headphone disassemble/revival, and these in comparison with even the oldest headphones I have (Tokumi TE-1025) are really garbage. Imagine (if you can), a cheaper & crappier version of one of these 30mm speakers.

Yep i agree. I thought maybe i got the crappy demo model due to lack of packaging but looks like everyone is in the same boat. Glad i only paid $9; still feel a little ripped off though.

this is my first buy from kogan.
now i know they are the type of company that sell junk for $50 then do a "special" sale for $9.

not a good store. will never buy anything from them anymore.

  • +1

I cant believe anyone would pay $49 for these

Having said that I didn't think they were too bad for $9, you audiophiles really couldnt have expected any quality sound out of these

  • Still waiting on mine, it appears everyone got theirs already? :(

  • yeah got mine yesterday. didnt even bother to unwrap them. will keep as a spare.

  • +1

Unfortunately these are not the colour as pictured…

The red ones are supposed to have white plastic around the earmuff section.

When they arrived they were red.

The white looks so much better…

And the inner section is grey not white as pictured…

    Not happy.

    • white isn't so flash when it looks cheap

i just needed something that produced sound for the computer when watching a movie so i'm okay with mine. expect nothing and you won't be disappointed :)

  • Still waiting on mine :(

    • you can buy mine for $7.. deal??

      • Thanks, but no thanks :D

  • Ok listening on it for first time today.

Not bad for $9, but uncomfortable for sure. Can last 15-20 mins on it before needing to take a 5 min break and then having another go.

    • "Not bad for $9, but uncomfortable for sure. Can last 15-20 mins on it before needing to take a 5 min break and then having another go."

      That's what HE said? :p

  • LOL I received mine today and its given me a good laugh. Mine wasn't boxes or anything just put in a tiny bit of bubblewrap then into a postal bag (not box…bag..so literally no protection) that was pretty much it…but wait for it….also included was a small piece of paper that said "please ensure that you keep all of the original packaging, in the unlikely event that you require a warranty repair, your item will not be collected if it is not safely and securely packaged"

    Hahahahahaha

    • +1

Didn't get mine and when I called to check they told me because I didn't put company name on the address, the item was returned to sender.
I was asked to pay $9 re-despatch fee, which I declined. I asked for a refund instead. What a waste of my time :(

      • you can buy mine for $7
