Seem to be a good price for a Tall Boy Home Theatre System. I never used that brand before so im not sure about quality.

    It can, but if you only have $100 there aren't many options. There's always the chance it will be better than your inbuilt TV speakers.

  They have one speaker set that has coaxial input (making me think it has 5.1 decoding built in) while the one Big W sells probably requires 5 individual inputs for each speaker with no decoding facilities..

  I would wager to say if your dvd/bluray player has only 2 ch stereo audio and digital outputs, the speakers will not properly work given the price range of these speakers ( I could be wrong and a decoding chip might only cost $5 ) and any 5.1 effects would be DSP based.

  Might be good for computer systems with 5.1 analog output connections. Would suggest people see it in person before purchasing.

  Don't buy cheap home theater systems… Save up and purchase a decent set instead.
