Hi this is my first post - I was having a look at the shavers on Amazon, saw this and thought it looks like good value; it’s the lowest Amazon price ever (via CamelCamelCamel)

My brother has an older model and seems pretty happy with it. The Power Source is AC 100-240V (Automatic International Dual Voltage Conversion) so all you need is a plug adapter.

  is this higher model or lower? judging from rrp the st23 is higher (more expensive)

    I think the ST23 is newer, as far as I can tell they are sold in different markets the ES-ST23 in Japan, Australia etc. and the ES-LT41-K in America.

  thanks OP. yeah i think st23 is higher also still made in japan, and LIGHT, and can be used in the shower
  too bad they only have 2 battery indicator not 4-5 levels, and need to be put on the dock to charge.
  its hard to find a perfect shaver according to your preferences :)
  but i like the colours… RED is ftw.

  Hmmm was looking at Panasonic ES8103S last night for US$82.60. Anyone know what the difference is between these two other than a slightly different plastic casing and the price; because they seem almost identical otherwise!

    If you scroll down the page there is a comparison table - The only differences I can see are that the ES-LT41-K has a travel lock whereas the ES8103S doesn't and they both use a different Replacement Outer Foil and Replacement Foil & Blade. Judging from the table the lower end models are to the left so the ES-ST23 seems to be a higher model then the ES8103S.

      Yeah saw that. Google also suggests the replacement blades/foils for the ES-LT41 are ~$50 vs ~$30 for the ES8103; so saving money on it now may be robbing Peter to pay Paul.

        Good work spotting that, I didn't think there would be that much difference.
        Actually come to think of it if you replace the foils and blades - that's about the cost of the shaver itself.

        I think the table at the bottom has the incorrect blades listed for the ES-LT41-K. I believe it uses the same ones listed as the ES8103. The product description on the page and user manual seem to all state it uses the foil(WES9087PC), blade(WES9068PC), and combo set(WES9013PC).

        The manual also said it needs the outer foil replaced every year and the inner blades every 2 years. Amazon's current prices for the kits are also seem pretty good too. Not the lowest price ever but pretty close and better than ebay prices.

        Thanks for that, you're right about the foil the ES-LT41-K uses the Replacement Foil WES9087PC(source Panasonic site) not the WES9187PC as the table on the Amazon page suggests. Also the price has gone up now anyway.

  I have had the Panasonic ES8243A and now have a ES8103S. I think the ES8243A definitely cut better with the extra 4th cutting foil, but after replacing the inner blades twice I tossed the shaver because the replacement bits were more than a new shaver. Note that the fatter head of the ES8243A made it harder to shave the middle of my top lip.
