EDIT: HAVE NOW VERIFIED THAT THIS IS A 1A CHARGER - WHICH IS REALLY AN IPHONE CHARGER - MY SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR ASSUMING THAT IT WAS AN ORIGINAL IPAD CHARGER. IT WILL CHARGE AN IPAD BUT WILL BE SLOWER.

Specification does not state the wattage but contains the following description on the page which means it will work with all current ipads.

    Better email and ask them if its the 5watts iphone or 12watts ipad compatible ones..

        Their description also refers to "the Lightning connector", rather than the 30-pin cable that this supposedly comes with. It's possible that their description is mismatched to the product, so getting some clarification if it's the 5W or 12W charger would be wise, I think. :)

      Apples doesn't include a cable, which will add a fair bit if you want an Apple cable.

      Yes, they state that the RRP is $49.00 and they offer it at $39.

        ah but from apple's website if you add the charger + a 30-pin cable, the total comes up to $50 so their RRP isn't exactly exaggerated. Far from it, actually.

          I'm currently in a odd position of having a second-hand iPad (4th gen) with lightening cable but without the charger. So I forgot about the cable :P

    Hmmm….

    I have seen that Chinese suppliers are delivering copies with same packaging as genuine Apple - they also have the same approvals etc. on the pack and on the item.

    Only way to tell for sure is to cut them open. However, in some cases a close inspection of the printed material included reveals that the quality in printing and paper is not the same as genuine Apple products.

    I know that Apple supply retailers such as JB, etc., but Unique Mobiles? I am not so sure.

      Don't really know much about them apart from the fact that I have purchased a mobile from them in the past. However I'd be willing to give a company the benefit of the doubt if they have a 1300 number and ABN stated on their website over one that doesn't.

    Was about to purchase as i need an iPad charger, but I am going to guess that they send you the iPhone charger. Something just does not look right.

    Thanks OP - I needed a new adapter after one of ours stopped working. Would have paid $25 from the Apple store so this saves me $6ish and I get another cable - that I don't really need …

      Please do not order this if its for the ipad. It will charge slower than the original charger.
