    Nothing special here, prices to india are always around a 1000$.
    I can't see the bargain.

    Call any local travel agent and they'd give you these or better prices..

      Fact that its SIA means its better deal than other airlines, unless you dont care about full service airlines and busget is good enough.

      This is a good deal cause of airlines, better than malaysian.

        You can call any travel agent servicing the Indian community and they'd give you these or better prices on Singapore Airlines or other full service airline, so I don't see what the big deal is about.

      Depending on how much cheaper it is (promo fares from MEL to Chennai are $1018 on SQ's homepage) I'd pay the more expensive fare and fly SQ for 777 to SIN and A330 to MAA compared to MH's A330 to KUL and 737 to MAA.

      I went to India in late 2010. Yes, you'll have some (okay, quite a few) hassles with touts and people approaching you to sell stuff because you're a walking wallet on legs. But the destination is so much more. The food was great (no health issues), the destination fascinating with lots to see. Two weeks there just scratches the surface.
